GDP255 Trees and Leaves

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  The Global Design Project this week wants trees or leaves:

and I had an idea in my head using the Beautiful Autumn bundle in an unusual color combo!  I saw this lovely neutral plaid in the Plaid Tidings DSP pad and thought it would look nice with Misty Moonlight, so I stamped a bunch of leaves and acorns and punched and fussy cut them all out to create a wreath:

I found it easier to stamp the outlines first, then fill in with Crumb Cake ink, but it does mute the Moonlight a bit....still pretty, though.  I added some metallic pearls that I colored with a light Night of Navy Blend, and I also stamped a partial sentiment from Banner Year in Night of Navy and diecut it with a Smooth Sailing die.  The finishing touch was a Misty Moonlight bow:

I left the inside blank, and I'll fill in a sentiment to fit the occasion when I decided to send it!  Thanks for popping in today!

Chef Cassidy was helping make chocolate chip cookies yesterday----which didn't help my diet at all, LOL!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

  1. This is a pretty colour combo LeAnne - it works beautifully and your fall wreath is just perfect. I’m afraid the autumn leaves will be here before we know it!

  2. Super cute card, LeAnne! Love the look of the leaves stamped in Misty Moonlight and colored with Crumb Cake! I would have never thought to pair those 2 colors together but it looks amazing! Love the Plaid Tidings paper and again it looks great here! MMMMmmm Chocolate Chip Cookies! I have been thinking about making a batch of them, too, but it's been too hot to heat up the kitchen. I'm patiently waiting for cooler weather!!

  3. This stamp set is on my wish list for next quarter. I do like the colors. I agree with Wendy about waiting for the heat and humidity to go down. Chocolate chip are my faves.

  4. You've taken my least favorite color [blue] and made me love it by adding all this fabulous neutral crumb cake, LeAnne. What a fabulous wreath you've created - now don't you wish you could make a door-sized one? and don't I wish I could snitch a cookie??
