Remember that CAS means limited layers and elements---you can check back at the Paper Players blog to get a refresher if necessary! I happened to need a thank you card to send to my upline's upline...my SU "grandmother", so to speak, so this is what I created:
She gifted me with this Tasteful Touches bundle, so I went to work with it! I stamped the flower in Memento ink and colored it with a Rococo Rose blend, added some leaves from Forever Flourishing dies, and a panel of Rococo Rose DSP, cut with a die from the Tasteful Labels die. I also stamped a thank you sentiment from Butterfly Gala, and for fun, I stamped a feather in Versamark ink and highlighted it with some old SU pastels...anyone remember them? I still have mine!!!
I also added some Rose Metallic thread behind the florals for a little extra interest. In hindsight, I wish I had gone over the flowers again with the Blends to intensify the color so it would match the DSP better, but it's long gone in the mail! I am also entering this in the CASe This Sketch this week:
I hope you'll play with our Clean-and-Simple Thank You challenge this week! It's such a nice gesture to send someone an unexpected thank you, so here's your chance to make someone's day! Be sure to hop over to the Paper Players blog to see what the designers created as well!
John recently did some repairs on a friend's Gator; after the repairs were done, he let Lee test drive it (very, very slowly) around the yard! Since Lee is a pro at his ATV, John wasn't worried about his driving capabilities and Cassidy was thrilled to go along! He did great!
Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Such a pretty card LeAnne - and a great way to say thank you for a lovely gift! I particularly like the stamping of the sentiment onto DSP here; it’s really effective. A great clean and simple thank you card! What a clever pair of ATV drivers too!
ReplyDeleteI fell in love with your card the minute I saw it. CASEing your CAS! Speaking of Cass, has she wanted to drive it? Lee looks like he could become a NASCAR driver :-) Such fun times with simple pleasures.
