Happy Friday, everyone! Happy to see the end of the week, although it's been rainy, with more to come---what else is new? But when I saw the pretty colors at the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge this week, it brightened up my day:
I had treated myself recently to W Plus 9's Spring Blessings set, but hadn't gotten the dies until recently. I thought I would play around with some colors and they just happened to match the challenge! So here we go:
I used shades of pinks, greens and yellows to fill my crate, and added a couple little eggs at the bottom and the beautiful scripty sentiment; although it's almost summer, it is still technically spring, LOL! I mounted my arrangement on a Stitched Nested Label diecut and then a Flirty Flamingo gingham mat. I am SO going to miss this gingham paper, why SU is discontinuing it is beyond me!
I heat embossed "blessings" in white ink and embossing powder to tuck under the "spring", and added a few sequins just for fun!
Such beautiful stamps to create beautiful flowers! Thanks for popping in today!
Sometimes, you just need to go outside and RUN! We had a couple of beautiful evenings, and Cassidy took advantage of them!
Enjoy your day and be blessed!

So pretty LeAnne - and I’m with you - wot no more gingham?? I stocked up as I can’t bear to not have some in my stash!
ReplyDeleteLove that gingham paper! Hope you've got a stash of it. Your card is so bright and pretty! The flowers are a perfect match with the gingham!
ReplyDeleteNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Say it isn't so, LeAnne!! Someone [or maybe every on of you SU ambassadors] needs to give SU a stern talking to!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you REAMS of it stashed … it really makes such a beautiful backdrop! I have loved every. single. card you have used it on!
I adore your card, my friend! You must have had tons of fun arranging those sweet Wplus9 elements!
=]
Oh golly is this ever pretty! That little crate filled with those blooms just sings to me. The gingham paper is the perfect backdrop too. What is SU thinking, they're nuts!!
ReplyDeleteYou're using 'Picnic Cloth Pattern' again LeAnne! But wait... discontinued? That's madness! It is so popular I can't imagine why SU don't do it in every available colour and then some! Love the look of the crate of bright flowers against the gingham and the little eggs are so cute! Love the photos of Cassidy - oh to have the energy to just go outside and run!! Have a good weekend (sounds like it'll be crafting weather!) Vicky x
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely LOVE your beautiful card!!! Gonna have to find those stamps!!! Cannot BELIEVE how much Cassidy has grown and is changing. She is so darling. All of your peeps feel as if we’ve grown up with her. What grade is she going into? Your grounds are just beautiful. Wish I could stop by for a visit...but Vancouver, WA is a bit fat!!!
ReplyDeleteLovely card. Pretty spring colors. I too like gingham.
ReplyDeleteI am so with you on the gingham!!! It's probably my favorite pattern ever! I'm always drawn to cards with gingham (or buffalo plaid) so naturally your card stood out to me! Flirty Flamingo is such a happy color and you sweet come flowers look awesome in it. The wooden crate container is the perfect vessel to hold this pretty bouquet. I love the sentiment too! Thanks for playing along with us at Hand Stamped Sentiments!
