Happy Sunday, peeps! Time for another Paper Players challenge with Anne Marie as our hostess! It's Clean and Simple week!
Woo hoo! We can all use some sparkle, right?! And sparkle always makes me think of Christmas! So here's my (almost) CAS card....I usually make mine one-layer, but went a little more overboard, or maybe I should say underboard, in the CAS department this week!
I had this Glimmer paper left on my desk from my card for Thursday's post, so I thought I would cut some more sparkly holly leaves and add some rhinestones that I colored with a Cherry Cobbler Blend and a little wisp of shabby seam binding:
And here's a tip about cutting intricate designs from Glimmer paper: peel off the white backing from behind the paper before diecutting! It is thinner, obviously, and makes it much easier to get out the smaller edges from those intricate dies! And instead of gluing the leaves down, I used glue dots..much less messy! I added a sentiment in Cherry Cobbler, and mounted my panel on an embossed Mint Macaron card base:
then added another sentiment in Garden Green on the inside:
I am also entering this into the CAS Christmas Card challenge, which is to use a Christmas song, and the Krafty Chicks Challenge, which is Clean and Simple:
I can't wait to see what sparkly creations you share with us at the Paper Players blog! Be sure to stop by and see what the entire Design Team has come up with as well! Enjoy your day and be blessed!

ReplyDeleteGorgeous CAS Christmas card LeAnne! Wish I would have thought of making a holiday card, it's always perfect for lots of sparkle! Great hint about taking the backing off the SU glimmer paper. I often end up using a shim when I die cut, thinner paper would be a lot easier to get through the Big Shot LOL!
