LOL, do you like the name of my post? It's all because my friend Michele posted cards made with this adorable stamp set called Clever Sausage...and I just had to get it! Here we go:
I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday, and I am also entering it in the Time Out Birthday challenge:
I started by stamping my little pup in Memento ink on some Soft Suede cardstock and shaded him with some blends. You can get matching dies with the set, but the images fairly easy to fussy cut, so I passed on the dies! I also gave him a polka dotted sweater:
I added a polka dotted balloon, and a sentiment diecut with a Stitched Rectangle die. Before adhering everything, I stamped a few little confetti on my Stitched So Sweetly panel! His little bow and tie around his tummy were hand-drawn!
Finally, on the inside of the Daffodil Delight, I added the sentiment:
All the printed papers are from Honey Bee's The Bee's Knees 6x6 pad! Thanks for popping in today!
I must admit, that socially distancing myself has made me very, very lazy. All I did on Sunday, after watching our church service on FB, was to work on a puzzle, oh and I did sew two DIY masks which I will be mailing to my niece. There is NO 1/4" elastic to be found anywhere, so that's the extent of my mask-making. I am keeping up on my Bible study, walking, and making a few cards, but mostly just....working on my puzzle! Hopefully it will be done today and I can move forward! How are you keeping busy? Enjoy your day and be blessed!

I totally understand how Michele led you to a shopping spree, LeAnne! I LOVE the yellow polka dots! This is so cheerful and fun! Michele did good and so did you!
ReplyDeleteDARLING card! Wish I had that set! Our fabric store said grosgrain works well too for masks. I bought four 1/2 yd pieces yesterday in really pretty batik prints. Got the doggy groomed today. Handed him off in the parking lot. All is well in the Garrison household. Bless you and yours!
ReplyDeleteOh LeAnne!! I'm happy to take all the 'blame!' and I adore his sweet yellow polka dotted sweater!!! I actually quite like that fussy cut image - when you're this good at it, why not save that money for these cute papers, right??
ReplyDeleteLOVE it!!! sorry, not sorry!!!

You fussy cut him... wowee, great job! Love his sunny yellow polka dot sweater and all of the cute layers you've used. CUTE CUTE card!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute card. Those colors are just so much fun too.
ReplyDeleteLove your little sausage doggie! Doggone cute! Thanks for sharing. I have plenty of household projects and craft projects to keep me occupied for at least a year! When I go to my mom's I work on her puzzle! No puzzles here...I would get nothing done! LOL!
ReplyDeleteSomething tells me you really don't need anyone to lead you astray...lol. What a cute stamp and card. My son and I re-arranged my bedroom, did a thorough cleaning, and today he is rehanging all the wall decorations in different places. I did it because I wanted to create a place to work on a card when I can't sleep. My card room is his bedroom and I have kind of taken it over! Other than that I'm still trying to learn how to use my Scan N Cut...that's a challenge!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun card. Love all the patterns and the vibrant colours-sweet image and love how the balloon really looks like it is flying! Thanks for joining Time Out
ReplyDeleteMy next dog is going to be a doxie! Sooooo cute!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fun and cute card. Polka and the limited colours make this card stand out in the gallery! Thank you for taking time out to join us at our birthday celebrations , hugs, oh sorry, Social distancing, Namaste ~ Ishani ;)
ReplyDeleteTotally adorable - I love all the paper piecing you did on the balloon and the dog's sweater - they totally make the design! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Time Out! Jill
