Happy Sunday, peeps! Ann is our Paper Players hostess today with a yummy color challenge for us:
I had made this card a couple weeks ago as a sample for my club girls, and when I saw the challenge, I knew I had to share it, especially since my allergies have been making me feel less than creative lately! The Honey Bee stamp set and the coordinating SAB DSP, Golden Honey Specialty, make creating pretty, delicate cards a breeze! So here we go:
I took a piece of the small floral design DSP and used markers in Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, Real Red and Cherry Cobbler to fill in the flowers. I also stamped one of the flowers from the set, used markers to color and shade it, then diecut it with the Detailed Bee Dies. I used the stripe from the same DSP to make a simple horizontal piece to go across the the florals, popped up my flower and added a simple "hello", stamped on a stitched rectangle diecut:
I added some Rococo Rose faceted gems and mounted it all on a Blushing Bride card base. I think the prints and patterns are so pretty, especially with these feminine pinks and reds!
I hope you'll play with our color challenge....I know it's close to Valentine's, but these colors don't have to be just for that occasion, they're pretty just to say "hello"! Share your creation with us at The Paper Players, and while you're there, make sure you check out what the DT has created as well! Thanks for popping in today!
Cassidy is taking drum lessons at school, and her band teacher came to her classroom on Friday to give them a demonstration on percussion instruments! I can't wait to hear about it!
Enjoy your day and be blessed!
What a lovely card to say Hello to someone! I love the delicate little flowers and soft colors in keeping with the challenge! Fun to know Cassidy is interested in drum lessons! Music is such a great learning tool!

ReplyDeleteLeAnne, such a pretty take on the challenge. I love the soft, subtle colors and we were both on the same wavelength coloring this paper. I love it in the black and white, but also love that you can color it.
