IB112 Cacti Greens

Hi stampers!  It's time for a new Inspired By challenge!  Here's Laurel's photo prompt for this week:

I have absolutely no cacti stamps, so I decided to go with the greens in the photo!!!  I have some lovely green patterned DSPs from the Garden Lane line, and I thought they would go nicely with the Positive Thoughts set from the Mini Catalog:

I used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches:

And because the papers are fairly busy, I just made a very simple sentiment panel using the Sweetly Stitched and Stitched Rectangle dies, which frame the sentiment nicely.  I also added the fern stamp as a background:

I added a little bit of embroidery floss embellishment, which is another bit of "green"!  I hope you'll check out what the DT did at Inspired By, and be sure to play along!!!  Can't wait to see what you create!

Not only do I not have any cactus stamps, I have no cacti either!  But I do have a little "ice cube" orchid in my window (named that because you only give it an ice cube a week as water!), and I honestly thought it would never bloom again after last Easter, but it surprised me:

I just love that little "face"!  And since this photo was taken, another bloom has appeared! Enjoy your day and be blessed!

  1. LeAnne I think you are brilliant to interpret that scene in papers! You've chosen perfect specimens ... love the lattice patterns! I think you'll be the most inspiring of us all today because you didn't have any cacti!

Such as gorgeous ice-cube orchid - I even love the little dish it's in!

  3. I love those papers (DSP junkie that I am!) and this card has a beautiful tranquility to it. I have just had a cacti idea - need to carve out some time later to put it into practice - watch this space!
