Happy Tuesday, peeps, and welcome to our first Retro Rubber challenge of 2020! Here's our challenge prompt for this week:
What a delightful image, especially since we have had temps in the 60s this last week...no snow in sight! I chose to use an image from Close to My Heart from around 2015, stamped in Night of Navy and Stazon Black on some Wonderland DSP from Kaisercraft:
It's a smaller card, 4 1/4" square, with a Basic Black mat on a Whisper White base. I used a Lawn Fawn die to cut the snow from behind the silhouettes, and added a small sentiment from a past Paper Pumpkin set:
I did create little snowprints in the snow and added some Wink of Stella for shine!
I hope you'll stop in at Retro Rubber to play along with our wintry challenge! Don't forget...the stamps must be at least a year old and you need to tell us the age! It's fun to give our older stamps some love! Can't wait to see what you create!

This is just gorgeous LeAnne! I love the way you stamped the trees directly onto that pretty background paper and separated them from the snow scene in that stylish way. Love the silhouette images and the footprints make the scene really come alive! Vicky x
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet little scene LeAnne - you do have some lovely silhouette stamps! I like the way you built the scene up with the background trees on the DSP too. A great idea to add the footsteps too - it brings the whole scene to life!
ReplyDeleteLeAnne, this is so lovely! The silhouettes are great and the way you've cut a snow background for them and stamped the trees directly on the DSP is so clever! But I think the clincher is those tiny dog paw prints and shadows you've added. Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI love this sweet winter scene, LeAnne! It brings back sweet memories of playing in the snow when I was a child!
ReplyDeleteLove the silhouettes with the blue! Pretty winter scene!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute silhouette image, this is darling LeAnne!
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing scene, these three are having fun! Great job with all the design elements.
ReplyDeleteSo charming, LeAnne ... those little silhouette figures in their wintery wonderland are just a delight ... such a lovely scene! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteWell, LeAnne, the snow in your sweet and beautiful card is all I've seen in a very long time, I do miss it, even if it means having to shovel it off our driveway.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful winter scene, it reminds me of my grandchildren, when they were little, playing outside building snowman and having snow ball fights, sweet memories.
XO
