Happy Tuesday, peeps! Phew, the sinus infection that I've had since before New Year's really got me down! A trip to the doctors and some meds has me feeling almost human today! I know there are some bugs going round, so if you've got one, take care and you have my sympathies!
I managed to do a wee bit of stamping last night, using the Christmas Card Throwdown sketch for January:
I managed to do a wee bit of stamping last night, using the Christmas Card Throwdown sketch for January:
This is my favorite go-to sketch of all times, although this one is square, it works for any style card! I used the Tags Tags Tags set for my card, which has been carried over and is a fun little set for several holidays! I paired the cardinal image with some embossed kraft cardstock:
I stamped the tag in Crumb Cake, although in hindsight, I think Soft Suede would have been a better match for the cardstock; I colored in the cardinals with Real Red blends, then added a little Real Red snowflake, which is a die that comes with the Trio of Tags dies; I "tied" it on with some red baker's twine from my stash:
The kraft is embossed with the Tin Type EF, and I added a little scalloped border of Real Red above it. Since I already had my stamp set out, I inked up a different tag with Pretty Peacock to make a second card; this one uses the new Best Dressed DSP; it doesn't have to be used just for girly cards!!
This time, I diecut two snowflakes from Purple Posy cardstock and embellished all three elements with rhinestones....I colored the snowflake ones with some Blends!
A little Mint Macaron ribbon was all the accent I needed! So happy you could pop in today!
Cassidy's hand-crafted 2019 Christmas ornament!
Enjoy your day and be blessed!
Darling, LeAnne - love the look of the water-colored stripes! Fabulous, and so is Cassidy's ornament! Is this her latest school photo?

ReplyDeleteGlad you're feeling human again. Love the cards and Cass' ornament.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great sketch and two fun cards - you are too organised making Christmas cards in January (I'm jealous!) What a lovely bauble by Cassidy too - she definitely takes after Dana and you in terms of the creative gene!
ReplyDeleteTwo delightful cards LeAnne, but Cassidy's sweet smiling face wins my heart tonight! Hope you're back to 100% soon!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling better! I nees to make more tags.....yours look wonderful on the cards! Sweet purple snowflakes! And Miss C's ornament is adorable!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great take on our sketch - I love the colours, rustic yet Christmassy! The embossing on the kraft is beautiful. Thanks for playing along with 52CCT this week.
ReplyDeleteI just loved this sketch LeAnne and I can see you did too! Both are lovely but I'm a kraft red and white girl at heart and I adore the first card with the little tags you've added with bakers twine. Vicky x
