PP469 Starry Thanks

Hello, everyone!  It's Paper Players time, with Joanne as our fabulous hostess, and a fabulous sketch!

My sweet friend Debbie recently bought me a stitched star die, so I thought this sketch would be a perfect one to use to create a thank you card, and since there was a star on the sketch, I used my new die, too!  So here we go:

My papers are from SU's Night Before Christmas; they feature really bold colors and patterns on one side, and smaller prints on the other, so I chose two prints that featured some stars and put them together for the sketch!  I used a retired border die to make the big scallops, and punched out a few stars from the green paper to embellish them!  I stamped a sentiment from Itty Bitty Greetings on the Crushed Curry paper in Old Olive ink:

I diecut the star and some swirls from some retired glimmer paper I had in my stash, and used a Very Vanilla stitched circle to put behind it for contrast:

And since the Just Add Ink challenge this week is to choose two elements, I have stars and sparkles!

I really love how this card came out!  I hope you'll play with our Paper Players sketch this week, too, and check out what the DT created as well...you can see them at our PP blog! Thanks for popping by today!

So we made a trip to the Dollar Store and got some goodies for two Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes!!

One down, one to go!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

  4. Now this is a starry delight LeAnne! I love your chosen paper combos and I especially love the way you punched out those stars and created that unique pattern around the edge of the circle. And your single glimmery star is just full of sparkle! How great to see Cassidy having fun with her boxes - my two love shopping for those and packing them too!

  8. Wow, those colours are amazing together LeAnne! I love the way you've repeated the star motif through all your details. A lovely way to say thank you :)
Seeing the Christmas shoe box for Operation Christmas Child made me feel nostalgic. When my children were at school, they each did a shoebox every year.

  9. LeAnne, this is gorgeous! I love the DSP you paired with the shining star! The swirls make the star shine brighter! Such a great idea to punch the stars from the DSP, too. Your friend will cherish this beauty! So happy Cassidy is enjoying putting all the goodies in the shoeboxes. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, My Friend! XX
