Postage Stamp Christmas

Hi stampers!  I have a card today for a challenge I don't think I've ever played before, Pixie's Snippets Playground!  I certainly have plenty of "snippets" lying around on my desk and in my file drawers!  I recently got a couple of postage stamp dies, so I diecut some from scraps of Whisper White and began to play around with some of my smaller-imaged stamps.  I also was very happy to find that they fit perfectly on these rectangles of Real Red, which are the "windows" from the Hearth and Home die....and they fall out of my folder every time I open my drawer!  So I was happy to use up four of them here:

I used several different stamp sets and kept the colors similar on each "stamp".  It was fun to combine the images to create each little scene!

I really wanted to add some red gingham ribbon, but I didn't have any, so I created a narrow strip with a stamp....another little snippet!  Happy to use them up (but I have a lot more to use, LOL)!!! I am also entering this in the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge for this week:

 Thanks for popping in today!

Cassidy did a little stamping after packing her shoebox this past weekend; she was quite proud because she knew just how to set up the Stamparatus all by herself!  She made a Thanksgiving card for her boy cousins, using I Dig You and the little Pilgrim mice from Lawn Fawn!!

She came up with the idea all on her own, too!  I really miss crafting with her!!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

I can't help but groan to see that EF is retired - I'd have to HAVE it!

  2. What a delightful post! It reminded me that somewhere I have postage stamp embossing folders, an envelope filled with window frames and the squares! It must be time for another clean up! Cassidy is turning into quite the stamper, following in your footsteps!

  6. The embossed background is wonderful and perfect for those postage stamps! It's such a pretty card with all the elements of autumn. I was just playing with my retired "cuter by the inch" stamps earlier today, remember them? It must be national inchie day! LOL Miss C has learned a thing or 2 from her stamping grandma, and she did a great job on her card for the boys! Gotta love that big smile too! Blessings to you and yours for a wonderful and meaningful Thanksgiving ;)

  10. Hello LeAnne! What a fabulous card - sad the embossing folder is discontinued though. The stamps are wonderful too.

And a huge welcome to the Snippets Playground, your name is familiar from Blogland so I'm extra happy you came to play. I'm now following you BTW.

One thing, which might seem odd, is that if you ever s wish to play for the prize on offer - do make sure to leave a comment saying so. I had to start this when the Randon number generator pulled out winners who then said they were just playing for fun. So I had to got through the process all over again - a few times. Hence one the very few 'rools' we have!

    Come back soon!

    Hugs

    Di xx

  11. This card is my new favourite of your cards LeAnne! I love the colours, the embossed detail, the gingham strip and those wonderful postage stamps! I used to have a postage stamp punch but it has sadly gone. This stamp die looks wonderful and just think of the endless possibilities for using it! Lovely to see Cassidy crafting away. I miss crafting with my youngest son who was always happy to get inky when he was younger :)
