Happy Monday, everyone! Hope you had a good weekend! I originally had planned this card for yesterday's Paper Players challenge, but in the end, veered off in another direction! So I am sharing it today! It fulfills the Festive Friday challenge nicely:
And although I don't have any buttons on my card, I do have scraps, silver and texture! So here we go:
I had this white stitched piece already diecut sitting in my scrap bin, so I stamped my bottle brush trees in Blushing Bride and Smoky Slate inks. I embossed a Blushing Bride card front with the Quilted embossing folder, and since I have a lot of Brushed Silver cardstock scraps as well, I backed my stamped image with some of those. I also used a little scrap to diecut some stars, embellishing them with SU's Metallic Pearls in silver:
The same set had this pretty little greeting, so I stamped it in Encore Silver ink and heat-embossed it with some silver embossing powder:
I used a stitched banner die to cut it out, and added another banner die at the bottom of my image to balance it out. On the inside, I heat embossed another sentiment and added a few more stars:
It's fun to sometimes use non-traditional colors for a Christmas card!
How's this for a mermaid blanket? She'll be able to grow into this one! Mommy is one talented gal! Thanks for popping in today! Enjoy it and be blessed!
