Happy Friday, everyone! Brrrr, it's cold here in SE PA! The fireplace is going today for sure! It's time for another As You See It challenge, and it's a sketch---I love sketches! Here's what we're working with this week:
I recently needed a birthday card for a sweet customer; I saw recently she had a buffalo check tablecloth, so when I was going through my stash of papers, I saw these from My Mind's Eye, and since she is one of the best moms/grandmoms/great-grandmoms I've ever met, as well as one of the best cooks, I thought this would be perfect! So here we go:
Since the papers all coordinate, it was really easy to put together; I added some Crumb Cake layers for a bit of country contrast, and used one of SU's very first photopolymer sets, Endless Birthday Wishes, as part of the sentiment:
I paired it with a diecut from a die from Well Written, and then diecut and embossed a little Crumb Cake heart and embellished with some Natural baker's twine:
She already told me she liked her card!! I hope you do too! Thanks for visiting today--I hope you'll play along with our sketch this week at As You See It, can't wait to see what you create!
Enjoy your day and be blessed!

ReplyDeleteI love sketches too and YOU really nailed this one with the most perfect card for your friend!
ReplyDeleteI love this card.....a fun mix of patterns! And I love the picture of your crew! Such fun.....they look so happy!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great card LeAnne - those papers are awesome and I'm sure your friend will love it! The details and patterns add great interest to all those layers and I think the neutral colours work well to ensure the whole thing doesn't overwhelm.
