Hi peeps! Another rainy day, but that's okay--yesterday was beautiful, I even got out for a walk between my stamp camps! It's time for another Retro Rubber challenge, where we get to give some love to our older stamps! This week we have a sketch:
I found this great patterned paper in my stash, so I stamped some leaves from Vintage Leaves (2015) on watercolor paper and loosely colored them with some coordinating inks, then used the coordinating dies to cut them out:
I used Mango Melody, Terracotta Tile and Pumpkin pie reinkers and an aquapainter, then added a few speckles with Itty Bitty Backgrounds, abd mounted it on a circle of another paper:
I was going to stamp a sentiment to put below the circle, but I diecut another little piece from the words paper and colored around the word "thankful" with a Light Crumb Cake Blend so that it stood out a little...I like this effect:
I will probably stamp a Thanksgiving sentiment inside....I haven't decided yet, though! I hope you'll play with our sketch this week....just remember that your stamps have to be at least a year old and you must tell us the approximate age! It's always fun to revisit what's in our stash, right, and give them some love! (And if you're having trouble remembering how old a stamp is, there is a gallery at Splitcoaststampers for almost every stamp company there is! The Stampin' Up! one lists all the stamps they ever came out with, alphabetically! So that could help you a bit!) Then share it with us at Retro Rubber! Thanks for popping in today!
Don't anyone tell Wayne that I put this picture out here...but it's almost my favorite one of all!
Enjoy your day and be blessed!

I'm sworn to secrecy but I know exactly what restaurant he's at! Your card is wonderful, as usual. I like what you did with the sentiment and the DSP is so fun.
ReplyDeleteThe piglet is ALMOST as cute as this card, LeAnne!! OMG I love those papers, and your leaves are beautifully colored!!!
ReplyDelete=]
This is such a lovely card LeAnne, great use of the sketch and I love that patterned paper. I also want those gorgeous leaves, love how you coloured them. Cx
ReplyDeleteThe patterned paper adds so much, the sketch is executed so well with the sentiment popping out of the panel. Too much fun!
ReplyDeleteYour paper stash, as always, continues to amaze! The loose colouring works so well. I'm not brave enough for it though - I've always got to colour inside the lines. :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun card for Autumn with those colorful leaves. I just love how the words "colorful" in the dsp are colored - what a great look! It's almost as great as that big pink bunny in the photo below! My lips are sealed, I won't say a word :) LOL
ReplyDeleteYou are killing me with these Disney trip photos LeAnne; I booked today for 2020 and already I'm so excited I could burst!! Such a great pic!
ReplyDeleteWayne and Piglet make a cute pair and your card is just lovely!
ReplyDeleteTrying to catch up after vacation. Thanks for having me GD for the last challenge. I love the new sketch & your card is wonderful! Love the background & leaves!

Hugs.
