Hi peeps, happy Thursday! You know what that means...another Inspired By challenge! Here's my take on today's photo inspiration:
And here's Laurel's pretty prompt!! I love this...it's similar to what I have in my very own kitchen!
I started by using the Global Design Project sketch:
I stamped the Buffalo Check background stamp on some Naturals White cardstock, added a Basic Black mat that had been diecut with the little stitched scallop die from the Be Mine dies, and then cut a couple of leaves from Crumb Cake:
I sponged the top layer with some Craft White ink, and added some "sprigs" of Old Olive. I used a Tim Holtz brick embossing folder for the background panel and burlap ribbon for the horizontal panel. I experimented with a couple of diecut sentiments but I didn't really like any of them, so in the end, I went with a Concord and 9th diecut:
It all went on a Crumb Cake card base! Such a pretty scene...there are lots of elements you could pull from this one, and I hope whatever you make, you share it with us at Inspired By!! Thanks for popping in today!! Enjoy it and be blessed!

Oh it's lovely LeAnne! I love the black and white check against the brickwork and the little leafy bundle is the perfect embellishment. I've already told myself I have to stop craft shopping but a brick embossing folder doesn't count does it? I mean, that's a basic surely! Vicky x
