Happy Monday peeps! This will be quick, as I have lots of stampers coming tonight for my first Christmas Card Stamp Camp of the year! I had sort of a lazy weekend, as I had my second shingles vaccine on Saturday morning, and by 5 pm, I felt like someone had beat me up and drugged me! I do not remember having that same reaction from my first vaccine! I was in bed by 8:30!! Anyway, I mustered up enough ambition Sunday afternoon to make a card using the Global Design Project sketch:
I haven't used this Magnolia Lane DSP much, so I chose two coordinating patterns, did a little fussy-cutting and here we go:
I stamped the sentiment from Rooted in Nature with Stazon black ink on a piece of DSP; the Stamparatus ensures that I get a good, clear, crisp image! I diecut it with a Stitched Rectangle die and backed it with a Stitched Label diecut in Petal Pink:
I fussy-cut two flowers from another piece of DSP and layered them on my sentiment, and although you can't see it here, added some Wink of Stella, which is quite pretty! I had a scrap of Petal Pink ribbon that I used as my horizontal element!
And on the inside, I stamped two more sentiments from Rooted in Nature in Mossy Meadow, and added a little leaf!
This looks like the place to be on a hot summer day! Thanks for popping in today--enjoy it and be blessed!

That shingles vaccine sounds rough LeAnne - hope you are now fully recovered, Love the patterns of this card - full of colour and interest and that sentiment is a definite favourite and the perfect size for this layout. Enjoy stamp camp today - always good to be ready for Christmas!
ReplyDeleteOh and I forgot to add - what a great picture of the girls too! They definitely look like they’re having fun!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry on the effects from your shingles vaccine...hope you get to feeling better soon! I've never had one...yet! Your card today is beautiful! Definitely can't go wrong with anything from the Magnolia suite! Love it all! Have fun at your Christmas Card Stamp Camp! Sounds like FUN! Yep, the beach was probably the way to go with the heatwave! Glad relief is on the way and I can turn the ac off!!
ReplyDeleteI have no idea if I ever had chickenpox so I won't get the vaccine. Sorry it hit you so hard. Your girls are so beautiful as is your card. Do you have the dies? I know there's one die that cuts out one of the buds on the DSP but not sure if it's the one you fussy cut. Enjoy your Christmas group today. I have to color more rainbow trout for an order!
ReplyDeleteLOve this wonderful DP, LeAnne! Such a dramatic contrast to the sweet petal pink... a gorgeous card!
ReplyDeleteHave fun tonight... did you put the Christmas tree up? xx
