Happy Tuesday, everyone! It's time for another Retro Rubber challenge....we want to see buttons or bows on your card!
I do love putting bows on my cards, but I got out of the habit of adding buttons because of postage! BUT....I saved this little button die SU had many years ago and it allows me to make paper buttons! So here we go:
I thought it would be fun to create a jar of buttons using the Jar of Love (2017) set, but I really was resisting doing a shaker card....but in the end, I gave in because it just needed to be done! ((I really didn't even take into consideration that the challenge photo featured jars, LOL!) I stamped the smallest jar in Pool Party, then added Balmy Blue and Poppy Parade buttons, a Poppy Parade bow and a Balmy Blue lid:
I used some thin strips of dimensionals and a window sheet to create the jar....since it's not sequins or beads, there's no danger of these buttons falling out the side! This cute paper from my stash seemed to be a perfect match, and a sweet little sentiment from a Cornish Heritage Farms (maybe 2012?) set called Sew Special finished it off:
I am also using the sketch from Inspire.Create:
There are so many things you could do with our embellishment challenge! Be sure to use older stamps (at least a year old) and tell us the age of them, as close as you can! Can't wait to see what you create! Share them with us at the RetroRubber blog!
