Hey peeps! Happy Tuesday, and the last day of April! I made a quick card yesterday for the CAS(E) this Sketch sketch:
Again, I am trying to use up some of my DSP, so I used some Animal Expedition for the lower corner, added some washi tape....stuff that I buy and rarely use, so I am trying to use it up, too... a few stamped sentiments, and a fun circular element from Stitched All Around:
Just for fun (and since I already had the stamp in the Stamparatus), I stamped the element again on a little scrap of DSP and fussy-cut it out to adhere to the top! I also added a little black circle beneath the diecut! It only takes a little bit of extra embellishment to step up your stamping!
And I promised to show our projects from Saturday's party...the hostess loves Halloween and wanted to do some watercolor techniques, so this is what we made:
We used some retiring stamps and dies, and learned about loose and controlled watercoloring with an aquapainter. The wood crate contains a few Lindor chocolates wrapped in orange foil; when I went to buy the candies just before Easter, the clerk at the CVS said to me, "You know you have the wrong holiday, right?" I am sure she thought I was a bit batty! Thanks for popping in today!
Cassidy went to an overnight church camp....and they had her favorite for lunch: mac and cheese!

LeAnne this is really great... great use of DSP, and washi - we even have the things we don't use often in common! They've come together perfectly today... thanks for sharing with CTS!

CASEing! There is something about your card that just draws me in...maybe the Washi tape that I have and rarely use! The Halloween card is great too. I saw what you did with the "batty"...lol. What a beautiful smile Cassidy has. Have a blessed day.
ReplyDeleteI like your card! Just the inspiration I needed today to make a few quick guy birthday cards! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous! Great card for a guy or a gal. Love the washi tape but I think the best bit is that lovely line of diagonal 'many thanks'.
ReplyDeleteI need to get busy and use up my DSP too....so I can buy more.....lol....cute card!
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic LeAnne! Great use of the supplies!
ReplyDeleteI lived this sketch too! Great way tho use up DSP - I got some old animal prints out this week too. If I don't start using it up, as Linda says I'll never be able to buy more!!
