Happy Tuesday, peeps! Just a quick post today! This card was one I originally made for my own monochromatic challenge at the Paper Players, but I kind of "forgot" that it was supposed to be clean and simple! SO I started over, but finished this one anyway because I really like it! So here we go:
I used the same Serene Garden, but stamped it in Granny Apple Green on Soft Sea Foam cardstock, using my Stamparatus to get a good image! The flower was shaded with a blender pen, then diecut and popped up. My sentiment is from Accented Blooms and punched with the matching punch. Before adhering it to my card front, I ran the panel through the Subtle Embossing folder for a little extra dimension! I think these colors are unusual together, but I love the final result! And since the Stamp Ink Paper challenge this week is monochromatic also, I am entering this!
Speaking of green, we got some new-to-us John Deere green this weekend! Last weekend while at a Christian retreat, we took a ride and found this for sale on the side of road! Needless to say, it was a pricey weekend! But hubby is HAPPY!
We are supposed to get 3-5" of snow tomorrow, so I had better see this thing in action, LOL! Enjoy your day and thanks for popping it today!

I love greens (as a teenager I insisted on having my bedroom painted a lighter shade of Granny Apple Green, much to my mothers dismay!) and this card is indeed beautifully serene - greens are very calming. It is still rather more CAS than my PP card this week - I think I added a little too much in terms of layering/accessory detail on reflection. You are too good at this LeAnne! Love the new equipment too - looks like it could prove useful, especially if there’s more snow on the way. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful LeAnn. The colors are so pleasing to the eye. Clean and simple with just right amount of Pop.
ReplyDeleteThat JD is sweet! and so is your card. Green is my favorite color after purple and red.
ReplyDeleteThis card is so pretty, Leanne! I have had my eye on this bundle in the catty but still keep putting it off on my order. Love all the green, even the new John Deer tractor! Hope it works for getting the snow off the driveway tomorrow. I'm SO over the snow and winter!
ReplyDeleteI LOve greens [except Kale!] and these bright, fresh greens are making me long for Spring, LeAnne! SO pretty!
ReplyDeleteGood for hubby... I could use one with a plow on the front of it! xx

I love these colors together, LeAnne. I don't think I've used a single piece of Soft Seafoam yet and this may inspire me! Your blending is gorgeous...March is the perfect month to send this cats outside! 🍀 Y'all are on the same green page this week...boys and their toys! We have ours too...just on a smaller scale!
ReplyDeleteStunning card! I love that shade of green. The John Deere brought back happy memories of my son - when he was a total he loved farm machinery and could recognise the maker by colour. Thanks for sharing. x
ReplyDeleteYou've married those shades of green beautifully together. Good luck with the new equipment. Hope the snow is less than expected.
ReplyDeletePerfect LeAnne - LOVE your card the best (at the challenge)! Gotta case! Nice for St Patrick's Day!
ReplyDeleteOh goodness this is pretty LeAnne! It's so fresh and fabulous. I have a feeling if you get 1/2" of snow your hubby will want to try out his new toy LOL!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, LeAnne! I am so loving Granny Apple Green! It is such a fun color! Beautiful shading on those blossoms! I hope you survive the snow...
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely.....calm and serene for sure! And the Big Guy would love a green machine like that!
ReplyDeleteLove that card. It is so very elegant
