Happy Monday, peeps, and Happy New Year's Eve! I had this card created a week ago and totally forgot to post it in all the holiday excitement! I usually shy away from purple hues, but a special friend really likes it, so I created this card for her! It uses a Gorgeous Grape card base and inks, along with accents of Old Olive and So Saffron:
My background is, of course, Buffalo Check, and the florals are from Painted Harvest and Rooted in Nature. I covered a narrow piece of Gorgeous Grape with the Polka Dot Tulle ribbon, because I love plaid and polka dots together...in small amounts!
Finally, the sentiment is from Wood Words, and it is all mounted on a circle diecut with the Stitched Shapes framelits. My sweet little sketch is from Fab Friday:
Easy and cute!
A few photos from our Christmas day....my niece in her "Ralphie" bunny pajamas! This cracked us all up, especially since first of all, this is very much unlike her, and second of all, her brother, who outweighs her by about 100 pounds, put it on after she did! (I didn't want to embarrass him by showing you that photo!!):
My great-nephew with his new "digger":
And a silly picture of Cassidy from breakfast:
And of course, Eden, in her Eagles outfit:
Thanks for popping in today---enjoy it and be blessed!
Love that buffalo check in any color! Pretty card! And looks like you had a fun holiday! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI love your card...I love your family! That "toy digger" will prepare him for operating a real big one! Big money in that profession!! I hope you all will have a wonderful, fun-filled NYE and that the new year will treat you kindly. You have been such a blessing to me during 2018 and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Oh, and btw, that was really clever how you used the polka dot tulle. I thought I had missed on on DSP somewhere along the way.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, LeAnne! You've given us so much to love here, and today is no exception! LOve the plaid and polkas together... and that sweet tulle has added such a wonderful bit of whimsy!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to every little piece of cardstock your heart touches in 2019! xx

So pretty, LeAnne - love the colors you've chosen, and those leaves are perfect with the blossom! Thanks so much for playing at Fab Friday!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card, LeAnne! I love the colors and the stamps you used on it! Lovely design, too! It just makes me smile on this rainy, dreary day! TFS Happy New Year to you & your family!
ReplyDeleteChecks and polka dots are such fun and I love that flower! Looks like a fun family celebration! Happy new year, my friend!
ReplyDeleteEven if you aren't a purple lover you certainly pulled this design off! I love the buffalo plaid and the sunflower pairing. A very happy cheerful card to start this new year off! And I have to say I love the dogs Eagles outfit!! We are Philadelphia fans and it seems we need all the help we can get this season lol! Go Birds!
