Welcome to the first ever blog hop for the Retro RubberChallenge! We are changing things up a bit to celebrate our 100th challenge! Here’s the scoop…play along with our celebration themed tic tac toe challenge! Then hop around to all of the design team blogs and leave a comment! Each team member is offering up some surprise retro (new but older than a year) goodies to one lucky person who leaves a comment on their blog. That means there will be seven winners! As always, we will be listing the five top picks with the winning pick receiving a prize for this challenge only.
*You do not have to enter the challenge to win but you must
leave a comment on the design team blogs in order to have a chance to win!
So here is our challenge grid:
And here is my card:
I chose the bottom row of glitter, heat embossing and cake!! My cupcake is from Papertrey, and I have had it for probably six or eight years..maybe even longer!!! The bottom part of the cupcake is designer paper which I stamped with Versamark and embossed with clear embossing powder. The icing was stamped with Berry Burst, re-stamped with Versamark (using my Stamparatus), and then embossed with Heat and Stick powder. After I reheated it, I sprinkled some Martha Stewart glitter on top and heated it again to set it...it REALLY sparkles! I stamped a little candle to pop on top and added a few sequins to the diamond-shaped panel. All the papers are from Cute Girl by Crate Paper; the sentiment is by Altenew.
I used another piece of the same paper from the front for the inside, adding a couple of sentiments and some stars:
Such happy colors! SO...now you need to comment and hopefully play along with us! Just be sure to use a stamp that's at least a year old, and tell us how old it is! Remember, there are prizes to be had!! You might be a lucky winner! If you're hopping along, you probably came from Jan Clothier's blog, Thinking Stamping! The next one along the hop is Jane Knudsen at See Jane Stamp! And here is a list of ALL the Design Team participating:
LeAnne Pugliese - you are here!
