Happy Sunday, peeps! Anne Marie is our Paper Players host today and she is off and running with her first challenge since returning to the DT! Check out this gorgeous color palette:
Oh, I had so many ideas rumbling around in my head, it was spinning! I chose white as my "color of choice" and finally decided on using some leafy images from Rooted in Nature to get me started:
My Crumb Cake card base was first stamped in Craft White ink with the Buffalo Check background stamp; I stamped a few leafy images in the challenge colors and diecut them out, then arranged them on a Blackberry Bliss panel that was embossed with the Basketweave EF:
I found a little scrap of Mint Macaron DSP from a couple of years ago as well as some Blackberry Bliss thick baker's twine to accent my leaves, and my sentiment is from Wishing You Well:
I love that sentiment...it can be used for so many occasions, don't you think? My sketch comes from In(k)spire Me for this week:
The DT came up with some beauties with these colors, you can check them all out at the Paper Players blog! While you're there, be sure to share your creation as well! You might just be a Headliner next week!
One last shot from the wedding; not sure how the photographer captured this; I am thinking he super-imposed the couple over the background, but it's a favorite of lots of people:
He's a very talented photographer for sure! Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Love this LeAnne - the white matting makes your colours really pop and I love the combination of pattern and textures with the check and waffle embossing. Cute cluster of leaves too and the frayed twine the perfect finishing touch. Awesome wedding photo - very clever!
ReplyDeleteHi LeAnne and BRAVO on this card. I love how you embossed the blackberry bliss strip, gives it that surprise of texture. Gorgeous card xoxo
ReplyDeleteI'm with you LeAnne, I love these colors and only wanted to pair them with white! Love your beautiful creation, that sketch is awesome and the basket weave adds so much texture. Looks like two more days of rain for us in the northeast!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to play with these colors on the challenge. What a cool pic. Our daughter's photographer did the same thing but it was a bluish black evening with twinkling stars. I enjoy seeing your cards and pics so much. It always brightens my day. You are a blessing and be blessed!
ReplyDeleteOh, so lovely! The checked background stamp works so well. I had assumed you'd stamped Crumb Cake onto white until I read otherwise. Love the frayed twine bow - perfect finishing accent. Great wedding photo, too - very arty as well as personal.
ReplyDeleteLeAnne, the white buffalo checks is just fabulous for your background! The basketweave panel is so pretty and your leaves just pop on the white! Such a pretty card!
