Happy Sunday, everyone! Laurie is our Paper Players hostess today and she has a great challenge--I don't think we've ever had one with this theme:
I have had this Cornish Heritage Farms set called Weighty Matters for a long, long time and maybe have used this image only once or twice; if you've ever struggled with your weight, you can identify with this gal's shock and distress:
I stamped her and her "helpful" friend on a piece of Confetti Cream and lightly colored everything in with some Blends, then added a sentiment from the same set:
The background papers are from my generous friend Teri, so I don't know the maker, but I thought the numbers might suggest the numbers on the scale, LOL! I used the leftover piece for the inside, adding a sentiment from Beautiful Bouquet
I hope this brings a chuckle to you, and that you'll share your humorous creation with us at the Players! We all need to laugh, right?! Meanwhile, check out what the DT came up with:
Cassidy and Lee decided to play in the creek behind our house, where they discovered a big bed of clay! They brought up big chunks of it and made quite a mess of each other!
And then they ran under the hose to clean off! The joys of living in the country!
Enjoy your day and be blessed!

I’m sure there are many people who can identify with the humour on this card LeAnne - myself included! Love the vintage feel and the pairing with the number paper carries over beautifully to the inside too. Love it! Cassidy and Lee look like they are having fun - just what childhood should be about, playing out and getting messy!
ReplyDeleteYou know I love this LeAnne given that it is Vintage...will check that site to see if it is still available...Well done..nice touch with the numbers inside. What fun Cassidy and Lee are having...
ReplyDeleteOh, my goodness...do I ever love that stamp! We used to have a German Shepherd and I could see him doing that!! I love to see the kiddos outdoors playing rather than glued to a screen!

I chuckled at your card today! Love it! You're right, the DSP with the numbers goes perfectly with the stamped image too! What fun times in the creek, they're making great memories. 😀

ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific image, and a great card for this challenge, LeAnne! Yes, I love the look of shock on her face, but also love the papers you chose to pair with the image. Now that looks like some messy fun the kids had!
