Hi everyone! Yay, it's Friday and it has finally decided to be NICE weather! Love it! We're headed for one last fling in the pool before school starts! I felt like doing some fall/Halloween stamping for today's As You See It challenge, which is a fun sketch!
I had several ideas for this sketch and even did another card before doing this one! Not a problem; it was a baby card and I happened to need one, so it didn't go to waste! But I liked this one better:
My designer papers are from a fun My Mind's Eye pad called Frightful; I have used almost every scrap of it, but I did have these fun moustache and dictionary papers still unused; I paired them with a retired My Favorite Things pumpkin set called Primitive Pumpkins, stamping them in various shades of orange, fussy-cutting them, and layering them along the bottom of the panel. I stamped the stars and tendrils as well:
I added some black glimmer paper accents and sentiment, then added a little twine bow:
And I had an extra pumpkin left over, so I added it to the sentiment inside:
I confess that I probably need a Halloween stamp intervention - I just am a sucker for cute Halloween stamps, so I need to start early so I can use them all, LOL! I hope you'll play along with our sketch...there are lots of possibilities for it and I can't wait to see how you use it! And just for fun, here's the other card I made:
This picture of Cassidy and her friends in the pool reminds me of the nursery rhyme, Rub-a-dub-dub, three men in a tub....rub-a-dub-dub, three kids on a raft, LOL!
Both are cute cards. I like the die that cut out the black glimmer paper.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see kids having some non-electronic fun! Love this glorious weather with warm days and cool nights.
ReplyDeleteYay for a nice day … and these darling cards! LeAnne, I LOve the pumpkins with your wonderful navy papers! my fave, but the baby card is adorable as can be!

ReplyDeleteThose cards are so cute!! I love everything about your pumpkin card - adorable!
ReplyDeleteYour pumpkin card is fun but I love your sweet little baby card too.
ReplyDeleteHow cute are all of those pumpkins! Super sweet baby card too. But those three kiddos in the raft win the prize!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your Halloween card so much!! I laughed at your comment about Halloween intervention ...... cuz I need to attend the same meetings. I can't help myself. I'm a sucker for Halloween. I Love it. I decorate more for that then Christmas. My dogs even have an entire box full of different costumes. It's a sickness I think ..... but I enjoy it!! Your baby card is also adorable.
