CTS282 Simple Birthday Cards

Happy Monday, peeps!  Exciting day here, our patio is finally being started...with all the rain we've been having, the contractor was delayed.  Of course, more rain is on the way, so we'll see how far they get this week!  Anyway, I did a wee bit of stamping this weekend...not much...but I did make a set of cards using the CAS(E) This Sketch sketch (I do love things in threes!):

Again, I had a chance to play with some patterned paper and these three caught my eye:

They were also a gift from Teri, so I don't know who made them, but the colors and patterns are so playful, I couldn't resist them!  I actually made three cards from the 6x6" piece of paper (I only took pictures of two) and I used a Paper Pumpkin sentiment for the circular element.  Both were embellished simply with Candy Dots:

Finally, I had a couple of small square scraps left and I diecut them with the Stitched Framelits die and added a diecut sentiment on top!

I have lots of August birthdays coming up, so I was happy to get started on my stash!  Thanks for popping in today!

A few more pictures from the town of Lewes, Delaware:

The prayer labyrinth from St Peter's church:

A rock candy display from the candy store (YUM):

A sweet little door:

Some inviting deck chairs....although I sat in one and got my bottom wet, LOL!!!

And my favorite of all, this little wall of Dutch sabot planters; SO CUTE!!!  Lewes was settled by Dutch explorers, so this is even more meaningful!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

  1. LeAnne I'm so pleased by all three! We're so happy to have you playing at CTS, with these darling papers! That cutie with the 'scales' might need a mermaid!
I feel as if I've been inside that labyrinth … perhaps while visiting my Aunt and Uncle in New Britain as a child? or another life? lol

  3. We lived in Lewes in the 1960's...it was only a tiny town then...could go to the beach and be the only people there...We were stationed at the small Navy base that guarded the entrance to channel. That base has been gone for years. Seems so strange to see how it's grown and loved seeing your pictures. Happy you enjoyed your vacation, LeAnne.
