JB18:12 and CTS274 Jingle All the Way

Hi everyone!  Monday morning, a gray rainy weekend is over and hopefully sunshine will be on tap sometime this week!  I have a CAS Christmas card to share with you today, using the prompt from the Jingle Belles of Christmas bells, and the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch:

I found this pretty little scrap of polka-dotted paper on my desk, and I happened to have a piece of Lost Lagoon already diecut, unused from another project, and I thought they looked nice together!  To round the corners of the polka-dotted paper, I used my Envelope Punch Board--I always forget how handy that is!  I diecut a Dazzling Diamonds bell from a Lil'Inker die, added some ribbon, popped it up and it was ready to go:

To make the bell stand out a bit, I added a layer of Lost Lagoon underneath:

And I thought this sentiment was from Lil'Inkers as well, but if it is, it's retired.  I can't find a name on the sheet, but it was with my other LI sets.  I thought it was cute with the bell:

Happy that you popped in today!

So Saturday was my niece's bridal shower; it was a lovely event, most of the time we managed to be outside by the pool!  There were a couple of raindrops, but it didn't dampen anyone's spirits!  Here's the lovely, sweet bride-to-be:

And the groom-to-be:

The incredible desserts:

My other niece's husband is a chef, so although he didn't prepare these desserts, he made crab cakes, salmon cakes, two kinds of pizza (the bride's favorite food!), tossed salad and a lemon pesto pasta salad.  It was ALL delicious!

And I have to share this as well; this wooden "cupboard" is HUGE; it takes up a whole wall in my sister's kitchen.  The neat thing about it is that it came from my father's workshop on the farm, and it was his father's before that.  There are about one hundred drawers and they used to contain nails, screws, and whatever else farmers needed to fix things!  My sister had the foresight to see what a great addition it would be to her kitchen!  She cleaned it up and it is a great place to display holiday decorations, or items for a bridal shower!

Looks like something out of a magazine, doesn't it?  It's priceless to us!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!  And be sure to come back tomorrow for two fun posts!

  1. Ooo, I'd almost forgotten about Lost Lagoon! You used it so cleverly for this cute Christmas card! Love the polka dot DP in the frame and I always love to see that bell die! It really is cute. The LL behind it and for the tie on top are just the thing to make it "pop". Your niece's shower looked like a success and boy that cabinet is something! I know it's a family treasure!

  3. Wow! This is your best post ever!! If we had to vote on the best picture it would be tough from your card to the antique. Everything is so beautiful. Your niece reminds me of Dana. I'd love to see your stash...you are always pulling out something new (old). Lost Lagoon was my favorite from the In Colors that year BUT I also bought 5 packages of Blackberry Bliss when it was discounted :-) Who knew!!! Have a blessed day and you are a blessing!
