Happy Friday, everyone! My schedule has so radically changed with having Cassidy for the summer, my stamping and commenting time is really wonky! I apologize for not getting around to give everyone my usual comments! I even set my alarm for 5am so I could sneak down into my craft room to make this card, LOL! I got some new goodies and just had to play with them, so I used Amy's FMS sketch for this week to get me started!
I never have enough masculine stamps or cards, so I was excited to see Country Road and Gallery Grunge in the new catalog; those are the new goodies I used on my card, along with some Wood Textures DSP:
It's pretty straightforward; the weathervane was stamped on the lighter woodgrain DSP, with the grass behind it; the sentiment strip has an image from Gallery Grunge stamped over the sentiment, as well as some Merry Merlot faceted gems attached:
I stamped the inside with the sentiment that comes with the Country Road set along with some of the wagon wheels ( I am thinking they look like lemon slices....maybe I could get double use from this image, LOL!):
Now I have another masculine card to add to my stash!
Cassidy goes to karate two mornings a week while school is out...she's getting into it!
Lots of noise and action! Thanks for popping in today and have a blessed weekend ahead!

Love, love, love! Such a cool masculine card, LeAnne! Love the texture the Wood DSP adds to your card along with the Gallery Grunge set! I really need to give these 2 sets a second look! Cassidy seems to be enjoying her karate classes! Here in Red Lion there is a big Karate School down at the square. It's a good thing to keep the kids busy! TFS and have a great day! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat masculine card Leanne. Love it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the photos of Cassidy.
Love your card! I totally get what you mean about getting around to comment. Yesterday was a doctor filled day AND card group so I didn't even get to read my team's blogs! Today we are having internet problems so I hope this gets to you...but you may not even have time to read...lol. She's keeping you young!!!
ReplyDeleteNew toys - yay! Love the way you combined your new items to create this great masculine card LeAnne. I totally know what you mean about school's out disrupting the schedule; I still have 2 more weeks to go yet and I am so overwhelmed with things to do! Karate looks like fun - I think I am going to book Ben in for a few mornings of basketball to help me keep my sanity too!!
ReplyDeleteLove the stamped grass and how you've used two different woodgrain pieces, stamping the weathervane on one! The horse looks like he's racing atop the sentiment banner! Fantastic masculine card!
ReplyDeleteGreat card! Love how you stamped the horse on that Wood Texture DSP, it's perfec! I'm going to show this to a customer who just ordered this art! Cassidy is I to the karate, she looks like she's working hard!
ReplyDeleteSuch a handsome card, LeAnne... love the wood-look paper - it looks so real!
ReplyDelete=]
What a great masculine card! That wisp of long grass in the background was the perfect addition!
ReplyDeleteWow this is fabulous! Love this set!
ReplyDeleteGreat masculine card! I NEED this stamp set, and the woodgrain paper, too! Never have enough guy cards.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely FABULOUS! Great take on the sketch! Love the woodgrain and the rustic feel to this awesome card! XX
ReplyDeleteEverything works together beautifully on this card! I'm on week 3 of having the kids at home for the Summer and I'm still trying to figure out how to get everything done. Enjoy! Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches this week!
