PP393 and TGIFC159 Thanks a Bunch

Hello everyone and Happy Mother's Day to all the moms, grandmoms, stepmoms, pet moms, whatever!  Today the awesome Claire is our Paper Players hostess, and if you know anything about Claire, you know these bright colors are a perfect match to her outgoing personality!!  Check these out:

Strawberry Slush and Hello Honey are retired colors, so feel free to substitute something close if you need to!  For my card today, I chose the little birdhouse from Flying Home to stamp and color in with inks and an aquapainter:

I stamped my image in Stazon ink on Shimmery White cardstock; I wish we had Blends in all these colors, as my watercoloring is not as good as my "blending", LOL!  I did try to do a little shading, and I added a butterfly from the same set, popped up on a mini dimensional:

After diecutting it with the largest circular Stitched Shapes framelit, I used some retired DSP in Strawberry Slush on which to mount it:

I also used the retired Dotted Scalloped Ribbon punch to create a little border from the same Shimmery White cardstock because I used the sketch from TGIF Challenges:

and I thought it would add a nice little touch!  The final addition was a sentiment from Sprinkles of Life, stamped in Wild Wasabi!

I hope you'll play along with us this week!  The DT has come up with some fabulous ways to use these fun colors as well!  Check them out here, or hop over to the Paper Players website:

Dana took me to a local nursery called Groff's...it was amazing!  Lots and lots of plants and flowers (and people!!!), and I picked out a few things for my Mother's Day gift.  It was almost overwhelming, so I will need to go back on a weekday when it is less crowded, to get a few more things to try to attract some hummers and butterflies!  My backyard has NO flowers right now, we are waiting on some patio proposals, so I will have to be happy with some planters and pots of flowers!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!
