Hi peeps, a second post for me today! I was uber-excited when Chrissy from CAS(E) this Sketch asked me to be a guest designer for this week! Check out this fun sketch:
I used the sketch to make a Mother's Day card for Dana, and I used a couple of SU sets to create it in shades of green:
I started with a Very Vanilla base and stamped images from Butterfly Basics (retiring) and Touches of Texture (staying) in Mint Macaron. I added a butterfly diecut from some of last year's SAB Mint Macaron glimmer paper, and a few little sequins:
The sentiment was a combination of Papertrey's Daily Design Sentiments ("happy Mother's day") along with the "daughter"from Fiskars Celebrate Family set, stamped in Tranquil Tide. Dana really liked it! And I hope you'll play along with us too at CAS(E) this Sketch!
We have had some wicked weather this week...if you're on the east coast, you know what I mean! We had hail and torrential rains on Saturday, lots of lightning and rain on Monday and Tuesday! Here's a shot from Tuesday night, in downtown Oxford, PA! That sky was ominous!
Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Congrats on being such a wonderful guest! The card is beautiful....perfect for the sketch! We had those awful clouds too but thankfully the really bad stuff was down near NYC so we escaped!
ReplyDeleteI'm thrilled to welcome you to the CTS team this week, LeAnne! Your Mother's Day card is gorgeous... and I just know Dana loved it, right?
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing cards with us, my friend! and sharing this incredible photo, too... xx

Wonderful to have you guesting with us, Leanne--such a wonderful, artsy take on the sketch. It's no wonder your daughter loved it! Be safe, too.
ReplyDeleteThat is one of the most beautiful CAS cards I've seen! Dana will love it! That storm was wicked.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on guesting LeAnne!! Your card is so PRETTY. I love the design and the sparkle on your butterfly. Yikes to the weather and the photo!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great interpretation of the sketch! Those images in the background give this some great texture and the glittery butterfly is a beautiful focal point!
ReplyDeleteHopefully this crazy weather will die down at some point and we can get to experience an actual spring! It's been crazy here. 80 degrees one day and then 50 the next. It's nuts!
Congratulations on guest designing at CAS(E) This Sketch! Your card is super pretty!
ReplyDeleteThat dark sky looks right out of a end of the world movie!
