SIP 129 Red, Green and Gold

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  The SIP challenge this week features the colors of red, green and gold!  They sound like Christmas colors, but they don't necessarily have to be just for Christmas!

No automatic alt text available.

I am almost ready to mail out my cards, so I squeaked in one more clean-and-simple creation using some new goodies I just got...and some new goodies I've had for a while and have never used, LOL!

I began with a thick white cardstock base and dry-embossed "'tis the season" with a Tim Holtz embossing folder along the edge...I bought a set of these folders at least a year ago and have used them maybe once or twice!

Because of the fold of the card, I had to cut the embossing folder at the top (gasp!) but it wasn't hard to align it so that it worked just fine!  I love that it gives a subtle sentiment which doesn't detract from my pretty Concord and 9th wreath, stamped in Tranquil Tide and Real Red, then embellished with some little gold pearls:

The stitched star was made into a "button" by punching two holes in it and threading some gold thread through and tying it in a little bow!  And since this is a Christmas card after all, I am entering this in the Fab Friday Christmas Free-for-All!

I hope you can find the time to play with our color challenge this week!  (We can always find time for stamping, right?!)  Share your creation with us at the Stamp Ink Paper blog, we can't wait to see it in the gallery!

I think that Eden is becoming a little bit spoiled!  First Mommy crocheted her a new sweater:

And now she has a new coat!  Stylish, too!

Thanks for popping in!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

  1. Eden needs some smitten mittens for her hands and feet :-) Such a pretty but CAS card. That wreath looks almost like the one in Feeling of Christmas, don't you think?
