Happy Friday! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We had a lovely one, with lots of good food and wonderful news of upcoming blessings....an engagement for one nephew and a baby for another! I did get a little stamping time in the evening and had a chance to make a Christmas card for the Merry Monday and Freshly Made Sketches challenges:
I hadn't done a vintage card for a while, so I pulled out an old Papertrey set called Believe, stamped the Santa on some Crumb Cake cardstock and colored him in with my Copics. I have to admit that his face is a little orange-y....I haven't used my Copics for a while, so I am a little rusty! And my blending needs a little practice, but it was fun to do:
I added a "merry" in Always Artichoke, a snowflake of Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper (although you can't see the sparkle), and banners of twill and vellum:
Here's the inside:
And since this image is from several years ago....maybe 2011 or so....I am entering it in the Retrorubber Challenge of Anything Goes!
So happy you popped in today! And here is my crew, wishing you a belated Happy Thanksgiving!

ReplyDeleteYour crew is so cute! Happy Thanksgiving to you all, LeAnne! I am always in awe of your beautiful vintage cards! Just love that PTI stamp set and what you've done with it! I have the dies & stamp set and I have not used it in a long while either. Must remedy that! TFS and keep those beautiful cards coming!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great holiday card! Your Santa is wonderful and colored perfectly, no rust detected at all! The choice of details are great as well. Thank you for playing with us at Retro Rubber and hope you will join us again soon.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Christmas card LeAnne. Thanks for sharing at Merry Monday.
ReplyDeleteSigh...(of admiration)! Your gorgeous vintage-y Santa is just wonderful but my favourite that lovely paper in behind - did you add the text and swirls or is that part of the paper? Either way, it's great.
ReplyDeleteAnd oops - forgot to say a big thank you for joining us at Retro Rubber this week.
ReplyDeleteI love this card, LeAnne. That Santa is adorable and you're coloring is always great! Love the die cuts greeting and snowflake too. He's a Santa after my own heart! :)
