CC&S247 Birthday Sketch


Happy Wednesday, peeps! I have a quick birthday card for you today using the CAS Colours and Sketches challenge, which is both a sketch AND three retired colors, all of which I love:


Since the colors are retired, I used retired ribbon, cardstock and DSP, and combined them with a new stencil and embossing paste:


I created the scallops with the Layering Seasons die, punching holes in the River Rock layer; I added a double-layered vellum butterfly on top of some Riding Hood Red pleated ribbon, and a past Paper Pumpkin sentiment:


I love the clean look of this!  This will be going in the mail this week!  Thanks for popping in today!


This is certainly a spooky look, LOL!

  5. I love all the texture here - both actual (embossing paste, ribbon, vellum, layers) and visual (the striped designer paper). Thanks for sharing your awesome card with us at CC&S!
