MTS192 Perk Up

Hi everyone!  I hope your Friday is going well!  I have a quick little card that perhaps I should send to myself! (More about that later!)  It uses the Merry Cafe set that is in the holiday mini catalog as of today!  It features the Match the Sketch sketch:

and here we go:

I used some of those fun papers from Naturally Eclectic, and stamped the solid green panel with the Burlap background stamp to give it some texture.  Then I just stamped my mini coffee cup image two times, once in Night of Navy and once in Tranquil Tide, fussy-cut them out and glued them together:

I also added some Lost Lagoon thick baker's twine on the Night of Navy panel for a little extra interest!  So why should I send this to myself?  I just found out I have shingles!  Blessedly, they are confined to my right arm and hand, and are not really too bad right now.  Hopefully with some meds the pain won't be too bad....I do have a wedding coming up, so I don't want to be a mess for that, LOL!  Anyway, prayers are appreciated!

On our way to a meeting last night, we saw a car stopped in the middle of the road next to what I call our "spooky tree", about 1/4 mile from our house.  We looked over and saw this:

We had seen him last week as well, circling high above our house, so having him a little closer was quite exciting!  Have a blessed weekend...I'll be back on Sunday for a Paper Players challenge, so be sure to stop back!

  1. Seeing eagles is always such an exciting thing. We were lucky enough to see scores of them in one place when we were in Alaska. We couldn't stop watching - such wondrous and fascinating creatures. You absolutely have all my prayers and best thoughts as you battle through this. I got the vaccination and am just praying that I don't get it. Everyone I know who has gone through it says it is not something anyone would voluntarily choose to do - LOL! Hang in there and best of luck with the wedding! We have one coming up in October and I am very excited!

  2. I am so sorry you have these awful, itchy, painful things. Perry has had them twice. I have no idea if I ever had chicken pox so I won't get the vaccine. I will put you on my prayer list. Thank God it's not around your eyes. My friend's mother had them on her eyelids and all over her face. Dana must be getting so excited. Will Cassidy be the flower girl? We have eagles flying over our lake and it never gets old. I like the way you used the dsp on your card. Hang in there and I look forward to the challenge Sunday.

  6. I adore your framed photo of Cassidy. Just precious! What a very special Grandma you are. My only granddaughter, Eleanor, 7, is in England. I just returned from spending 3 wks. I can't imagine what it would be like to see her every day. What a blessing! Her mama must appreciate you SO very much. God bless you, LeAnne. I'm praying you recover very soon. You are such a sweet inspiration to all of us.
