Happy Saturday, all! I am late posting today....no excuse except that I couldn't get to sleep last night so I stayed up too late! Anyway, I started this card at 1:30 in the morning and just finished it, LOL It is for the RetroRubber sketch challenge as well as the Jingle Belles Spirits of Christmas Past challenge!
I couldn't pass up a vintage Christmas challenge, now could I? I turned the sketch on its side so that I could use this Inkadinkado image; I have had this for over a year but never inked it up...so I guess I probably got it in 2015:
I stamped it in Cherry Cobbler on some My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Christmas 6x6 paper, trimming it by hand and mounting it on a panel of striped paper that was in my scrap pile!!! The Pear Pizzazz mat was stamped with the holly image from Bells and Boughs (2010) and the "sending" is from Papertrey's Mistletoe and Holly, and I am not sure of the year of that one...maybe 2013? I just love this sweet font:
as well as these sweet images:
and the inside features a sentiment and snowflakes from Jolly Christmas (2015):
Thanks for popping in today...be sure to come back tomorrow for a fun Paper Players challenge!

ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous vintage image. I have antique cards of my grandmother's and that font is just it! I think that the Pear Pizzazz jazzes it up and adds a modern twist. Love the way you've stamped the background paper - it looks like it came out of a packet! Love this card. Thanks so much for joining us again at Retro Rubber Challenge. It's always a pleasure to see your work.
