SIP106 Christmas in July

Happy Fourth of July!  If you are in the US, I hope you are having a healthy, happy, safe holiday! Our Stamp Ink Paper challenge this week is Christmas in July; one of my favorites! I love getting a head-start on my holiday cards!

No automatic alt text available.

I wanted to use some of the new DSP called Be Merry and I especially liked the little reindeer print:

I mounted a piece of it on a thick white cardstock base, added a large stitched oval and diecut some Cherry Cobbler deer using a Poppystamps die.  The small dimensionals from SU are wonderful for adhering these little diecuts!  I added a sentiment from Papertrey on a stitched banner, and since I had a little white open space that looked a bit bare, I added a little tiny banner:

Easy peasy monochromatic!  I hope you'll play with us; if you haven't already started your holiday cards, now is a good time to begin!  Be sure to stop by the SIP blog to check out all the beautiful creations!

We spent last Thursday at the pool; it's interesting to see how much more brave Cassidy is from year to year; this year she actually went down the large enclosed slide...not once but many times!  She got rewarded with some ice cream (of course):

and that half-hour ride home was just a little too much for those tired bones:

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

  1. Love this LeAnne - those reindeers are fabulous! I was sat at my desk struggling to create today, and funnily enough I ended up making a Christmas card today too. I will have to link up! I just got this paper but hadn't even opened it - your card has already given me a great idea for another Christmas card so thank you for the much-needed inspiration today!
