Hi peeps! I am back from my wee little vacation, went to the Delaware shore to see my dad and soak up some sunshine! Not that we didn't have sunshine here in PA, but seashore sunshine is definitely different than PA sunshine! I had to come back for Jaydee's pretty, easy sketch:
I knew I wanted to use some new DSPs, particularly ones I hadn't delved into yet! It is always challenging to make masculine cards, so although the dinosaurs on this paper are geared more to little masculine people, I thought it would be fun for any age, really:
The papers are from the Pick a Pattern DSP pack, and I used a retired die called Word Bubbles to frame my sentiment, which seems to be coming right from this little fellow's mouth:
The sentiment is from Hero Arts and is stamped in craft white and embossed with white embossing powder. Other than that, there's no stamping at all...I let the paper do all the work! I did add a little Pick a Pattern washi tape at the top and bottom of my middle layer...looks so fun with these patterns! Easy as can be!
I hope you'll play along with our sketch this week...endless possibilities! Check out what the DT did as well:
On their vacation, Dana and Cassidy went to a fisherman's pier where one of the fisherman had caught a small shark, and let Cassidy touch it! She was SO excited!
Thanks for popping in today, and be blessed!

ReplyDeleteLeAnne, I love your take on the sketch. Those dinosaur are perfect for all ages.. little boys will love them and they would certainly be perfect for a birthday card for older guys :-) I love the white embossed sentiment on the black. You combined the DSPs perfectly.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you enjoyed your quick seaside trip and, I agree, seaside sunshine is distinctly different :-)
Thanks for rocking my sketch this week
Hugs
Jaydee
So cute, LeAnne, and wonderful use of the DSP! Love the word bubble for the dinosaur, it does look like he's speaking. Love the picture of Cassidy with the shark. My Tucker would love it!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful time LeAnne, you can't beat beachy, seashore sunshine!! Your card is cute, that DSP is fun. How fun that Cassidy got to see the little shark up close. I'll BET she was excited!!
ReplyDeleteAdorable card, LeAnne! I love the fun mix of patterns, and I agree, it's a card suitable for any age. Lucky Cassidy, I don't think I've ever touched a shark. But come to think of it I guess maybe that's a good thing!
ReplyDeleteThis paper is adorable and highlighted perfectly with this sketch. The word bubble is my favorite part--I saved those dies too! Just love 'em. Awesome that Cassidy got to touch the baby shark, she must have been in awe. So glad you had some down time and enjoyed yourself too!
ReplyDeleteOh LeAnne - you are so amazingly good at mixing up patterns together. I'm so not comfortable doing that, I'm in awe! The dinosaurs are so cute. I've a soft spot for them.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fun card! Love that dinosaur DSP and the word bubble is perfect! A fun card for any age! WOW--a baby shark. That is so cool! XX
ReplyDeleteEEP! Such a FUN card - love those little dinosaurs!
