Happy Tuesday, peeps! Hope you're having a good week so far! If you're reading this early in the morning, the color combination we have for you at Stamp Ink Paper will certainly wake you up! Check it out:
When the new catalog came out, I realized I was really lacking in floral stamps, so I added this pretty Blooms & Wishes to my cart recently! It worked perfectly for these colors...when I have lots of bright colors, I find that it's best for me to do something clean and simple. I know the palette says "indigo" but I felt Bermuda Bay was a better match, so I added it to Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist for my card today:
The fonts are really pretty in this set's sentiments; I stamped this one in Silver Encore ink and embossed it with silver embossing powder:
and I added a silver glimmer brad, some silver wire behind my popped-up flower, and can you see the tiny silver center in the other flower? That's a little piece of Brushed Silver cardstock punched with a 1/8" hole punch!
The florals in this set make it very easy to create a pretty card in a jiffy! I hope you'll play along with us...I cannot wait to see what you create with these colors!
Another part of our busy weekend past was the commissioning of John's nephew Philip, who graduated from Drexel University as well as their ROTC program. Despite a few drops of rain, the outside ceremony in front of Independence Hall in Philadelphia, went like a charm. Each cadet or midshipman had his parents "pin" him and then a friend or family member of the Armed Forces gave him his first salute. He asked his Uncle John to do the honors.....it was quite a moving ceremony:
Of course, after the serious ceremony, there are always moments of levity...especially in the Pugliese/Moyer family!
Thanks for popping in today---be blessed!

What a beautiful card, LeAnne! I have been on the fence with this stamp set since last year and it keeps getting pushed to the end of the list. It makes such pretty colorful cards! Love those colors together and your design! Such awesome pics of your weekend activities of all those men in uniform and looking very distinguished! Proud & memorable moments! TFS and have a wonderful day! :)
ReplyDeleteAnother gorgeous flower card. The colors are lovely together.

ReplyDeleteNow you have some flower stamps to play with. Beautiful card and your color choices superb.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you nephew and John is looking as usual "spiffy". What an honor for him to participate in the ceremony. I know you were proud. Hoo-rah!
Stunning card, LeAnne! The flowers are beautiful, but the background details really make it awesome! And it looks like you had a very special weekend! All those spotless white and navy uniforms have the same appeal as a true CAS card! Lol! There's a special feeling when a younger family member chooses the same path in life.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous blooms, LeAnne ... you know I have a hard time with color - you've nailed it. AND given me a tear this morning - how proud you must have been of both of those men in your life - and John can still fit perfectly in his uniform!!! Congrats!
ReplyDelete=]
Gorgeous card LeAnne! I can't imagine you lacking in floral images! I have so many that my biggest problem is deciding which ones to play with! LOL! I am so loving these new in colors too. ~chris
ReplyDeletePretty card with those flowers, LeAnne. I like your color substitution too. The Bermuda Bay looks really nice with the LL and BB! Those pix of John and your nephew are so special. I'm glad he was able to do that!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness LeAnne, this card is just beautiful!! Love the colors of your flowers and the touches of silver are perfect accents. Congrats to Phil!! Love the photos!!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautiful card! The bright colours sing and I like the way the white space goes all the way to the edge, rather like an infinity edge. It gives those glorious blossoms room to breathe.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blooms...and your pics are awesome!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty card, LeAnne! John looks very dapper in uniform!
