MTS169 Avant Sugarplum

Happy Monday, everyone!  I am really running behind today; I almost didn't bother to post this card, I was so lazy!  But here it is!  I wanted to use Avant Garden and Delicate Details at least one more time before the end of SAB, and the Match the Sketch sketch seemed perfect for it:

I did some monochromatic stamping with Sweet Sugarplum ink on Sweet Sugarplum cardstock using the Avant Garden set, then ran it through the Big Shot with the Polka Dot embossing folder:

I stamped two rows of lace and the birthday sentiment from Cottage Greetings on a piece of Very Vanilla and fussy-cut the bottom and rounded the top corners.  I also added a diecut from the Flourish set of dies because I felt it needed a vertical dimension!

Another one for my birthday stash!  Thanks for popping in today!

  1. OMGosh!!! LeAnne, this is SO pretty! First off, I love the color! Sweet Sugarplum has become a favorite of mine! I love how you stamped the Sweet Sugarplum then embossed it! And OMGosh, just love the Delicate Details and how you stamped the Very Vanilla panel with it! Absolutely WOWZERS! This one is going into my fav's folder! Adorable pic of your girls! Saturday was a nice day to hit the trails, wasn't it? The weather today is playing a part in being lazy cuz I feel the same. I threw my back out and of course the pain meds are playing havoc on me. We need some sunshine!!!

  2. Very pretty card...good use of Delicate Details. I agree you needed vertical. Love that color, glad it's not retiring yet. I never think of monochromatic and then embossing. I can learn a lot from you!

  3. What a gorgeous way to use Delicate Details! Sugarplum can be a hard colour to use, I think, because I find it overpowering sometimes, but you have used it wonderfully - good balance.
