Happy Thursday, everyone! I had an embarrassing experience at the grocery store last week; I brought expired coupons to the register and tried to use them....I honestly had my dates mixed up, but the check-out coach graciously put them through anyway! Amazing! I wanted to give her a little thank you note to tell her how much I appreciated it, since the fault was totally mine. I had these W+9 florals already stamped and diecut in my bin, so I fished them out and went to work. I used the sketch from Less is More:
as well as a cute little block stamp from Suite Sentiments:
I also used a Hero Arts "thank you", stamped it in white craft ink and heat embossed it on a banner of Basic Black:
When I gave it to her, along with a little treat bag of Hershey's kisses, she almost cried! I had to scoot because I was ready to cry too! I imagine she doesn't get anything but complaining from her customers!
Anyway, I don't have a picture of Cassidy today for you, but I did see this little lady (I was told the males have red in their moustaches, and this one doesn't) on my suet feeder right outside my kitchen window a couple days ago! YIKES! These pileated woodpeckers are elusive, so to have one fiercely hammering away at my suet was quite a sight! My Paper Players teammate Jaydee always has them, and I am always jealous, so I was very excited to see her. The photos aren't very good because they were taken through a screen, but they were good enough for me!
Thanks for indulging my bird-nerdiness! Have a blessed day! And by the way, I FOUND my "n" from my Labeler Alphabet!!! Yippee!!

What a nice gesture! I like how you did the sketch challenge with the thank you stamp.Love the woodpecker. We had a woodpecker that fell in love with himself on our reflective windows. We have 20 windows on the front and side of our house. What a mess! They are protected so we had quite a battle on our hands. We hung colored sheets of paper on every window panel and that kept him at bay. We live on the main road entering the community so you can imagine all the comments and questions! Thankfully after a week, he moved on. Where did you find your "n"? Watch out when you use the medallion SAB stamp set!!
ReplyDeleteOk I love love love all those "thanks" behind the flowers! Perfect backdrop for the bright colors! Sweet card! And glad you found the letter.....that drives me crazy when I have to hunt for a swing stamp.....usually stuck to something else!
ReplyDeleteAwww, that was so nice of you to make her a little thank you to let her know you appreciated what she did for you! I would have cried too! Not many people in the world would be so nice. You probably made her day, LeAnne! Love the card and those pretty flowers! The perfect pop of color! :)
ReplyDeleteClean and simple and perfect! Love the strip of sentiments, which you stamped perfectly I might add!
ReplyDelete-Great Card for a Great Reason! What a Blessing!
ReplyDelete-Your Pileated Woodpecker....we have them here in NC...I see them when I go for my walks, a lot of pines here! Lots of bugs I guess!
-Congrats on finding your 'n'! I have two real little photopolymer stamps...they look like a two step for two 'holly leaves'...I cannot for the life of me find out what stamp set it goes to! I have opened every stamp case and it doesn't match any one of them! I found them after my move here, stuck to the outside of a stamp case. Where they came from????
I have made it a challenge to find out where they go! Not really...but they do show up surprisingly when I grab a stamp set, that I put them into for safe keeping, and they look at me! Would you believe...I cannot tell you right now which stamp set they are in! It is my surprise when I see them! Heaven forbid I decide I want to use them...I'll never find them! That's always the way!!!!
Blessings to you and your Family!
Simply stunning. You've just reminded me I have that gorgeous floral set and need to play with it some more! A brilliant take on our sketch and love those rows and rows of thanks. CAS perfect and thanks for playing with us at Less is More this week. x
ReplyDeleteThis makes me want to cry!! How extremely thoughtful of you to make and deliver to her this PRETTY card!!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love this card! It is so sweet with that row of "thanks" in black and those flowers really "pop" on it. How sweet of you to recognize your check-out coach. I bet that was a first for her. Those pileated woodpeckers are elusive. I've only seen one, and that was fleeting, in our yard and not at a feeder! I'm right there with you as a bird nerd!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful card and a very kind gesture, LeAnne! I love the thank you text and you can't go wrong with those lovely florals :) Thank you for playing along with us at Less is More this week.
