Happy Sunday, peeps! Nance is our Paper Players hostess today with a lovely color palette! I had so many ideas in my head! Here's the prompt:
I used a SAB set called Delicate Details for my clean and simple creation; The sketch is from last week's Freshly Made Sketches; I didn't have time to play with it then, so I am using it today!
My card base is Naturals White, and I stamped one of the lace panels in Smoky Slate three times and trimmed it out. I didn't have any Copper Foil sheets, but I did have some Brushed Copper cardstock from a while back, so I used that instead to diecut some birds; I also cut some from Blushing Bride and Smoky Slate, then adhered them on each "branch".
My final touches were a branch of Brushed Copper diecut using the Flourishes die, and a little heat-embossed copper sentiment. Of course, I messed up my first stamping, so I stamped it again and cut it out on a little banner...not the best save, but I didn't feel like starting all over again, LOL!
I am sure you have some glorious ideas for these elegant colors....can't wait to see what you create! Be sure to share them with us at the Paper Players, and meanwhile, check out the DT samples there as well, or click on them below:
I had to share this photo of my great-nephew Chaz from our snow day. He is actually touching his nose with his tongue!!! This kid is too funny! It was so cold; look at their red cheeks, too!

I really like this card LeAnne - a great take on the sketch and I love how the branch and birds are intertwined with the lace to bring the whole thing together, adding little pops of colour against the textured white background. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteWow! You are great at fussy cutting!! I really do like this card and never would have thought to do that with that stamp set. Everything I've seen so far has been flat stamping. Wonderful work of art! Happy Sunday. Chaz IS funny! Cassidy doesn't look too impressed though :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautiful way to incorporate those colors. I love the little birds and the way you interspersed them with the vine and the lace. So, so pretty!
ReplyDeleteSuper fun, LeAnne! Love the lace details and the little birds you added. They remind me of the birds that are flocking to my feeder right now as the snow is falling. After 14" on Thursday, we're expected to get anywhere between 4" to 8" today. We are definitely making up for last winter around here.
ReplyDeleteFEMININE AND FABULOUS!!!

ReplyDeleteThis is oh so delicate and feminine, LeAnne! Love the tiny birds and copper branches. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card! I like the copper vine entwined with the fancy shelves the birds are perched on! I'm cold just looking on those cute snow bunnies of yours!!
ReplyDeleteOh I just love the delicate lace and dainty birds on your card! What a clever way to use the SAB samp set and I love the copper branch running behind the lace. Such a sweet card and I am so glad you enjoyed working with these colors!
ReplyDeleteLeAnne, this is so pretty! I love the little birds and the copper branch! Such a lovely way to use these colors! Don't you just love that natural white card stock? I am still hoarding a few sheets! Now, on to those precious children! How cute are they? Glad he didn't stick his tongue on the tree! He might be like the boy in Christmas Story! LOL! Have a great week! Xx
ReplyDeleteOh, how sweet it is!!! Love the colors, and laces and cute birdies, LeAnne!
ReplyDeleteLeAnne, I love this little scene - the birds on their shelves with the copper leaves behind are just fabulous. Love it!
