Hi everyone! Sorry to have missed a day or so of posting and commenting....a nasty cold has descended upon our household...so far, John is the only one who has escaped it! I am on the mend, and Cassidy is back to school, but Dana is down and out! I did manage to squeak in some stamping time yesterday, using the FMS sketch for this week:
There is a really nice set of sentiments tucked away on the last page of the Occasions catalog...it's easy to miss! It's called Suite Sentiments and it has a little bit of everything in it! I paired it with the SAB DSP called Carried Away:
I added a Night of Navy layer as well as a diecut embellishment from the Flourish thinlets; I like the dark contrast! And here's another one using the same sentiment set, although this one really didn't turn out as well as I would have liked:
This one uses Fruit Stand DSP, accents of Blushing Bride glimmer paper and Mint Macaron cardstock and the beautiful SAB set called Avant Garden...a really pretty floral! Again, a wonderful sentiment for Easter:
Monday was a school holiday as well as our anniversary and Wayne's birthday, so we decided to make a cake for him.....since he is a Philadelphia Eagles fan, Cassidy insisted that we make green icing for the decoration! Here she is, with the decorator bag; she wanted to make a heart and fill it in, so we did some "practicing" first on a styrofoam plate:
Grammy did the border and the words, and Cassidy (with help) did the heart and the stars to fill it in! All in all, I think we did okay!
Enjoy your day and thanks for visiting!

We just are getting over being sick too! Something is going around everywhere it seems! Hope you feel better! Both of your cards are so pretty and different although with similar layout designs! :) Sending HUGS
ReplyDeleteMissed you and I figured there was a reason. Sorry about the illness in your family but happy about your celebrations. Cassidy may turn out to be a pastry chef :-) I like the Avant Garden card a lot. The Carried Away DSP is one that I absolutely don't need to have (until it goes on sale...lol). Continue to get better.
ReplyDeleteOH feel better tomorrow, LeAnne! Neither of these beauties appear as if they were made by someone sick ... DARLing DP and the navy works beautifully! and I like the pink one too! Happy birthday John!

Love that clean crisp card! And the cake is perfect! Cassidy is waaaay better than me!
ReplyDeleteKnock on wood, we have escaped sickness of any kind so far this winter. I probably just jinxed us LOL! Hope you're all better soon and that John remains unscathed!! Wonderful cards. The navy is a great touch and I like the pink card too with that bit of sparkle. Happy belated birthday wishes to Wayne!
ReplyDeleteA great way to show off all that pretty dsp! I don't know how your colds spread all the way to Texas, but I've had the same thing all week too. Hope you all feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteIt must be this crazy rainy weather because we have been fighting some stuff too. Hope everyone is on the mend soon. Love these and how you used that DSP!
