Happy Saturday, peeps! Hope your weekend is going well so far! I had the idea for this card during one of my sleepless nights, and when I saw the Match the Sketch sketch for this week, I thought it might work out! Here's the sketch:
I took my Smoky Slate ink pad and inked up the inside of my Woodgrain embossing folder and ran it through the Big Shot with a piece of white cardstock, and I must say, I was really pleased with how it came out:
I paired it with some DSP from A Little Foxy, added some Real Red diecut cardinals (Poppy Stamps Cheery Cardinals), and a little sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs (Mini Tag Sentiments):
I also stamped a little berry image from My Favorite Things (Hand Lettered Holiday). I mounted everything on a heavy white cardstock base. You can't see it, but I added some Wink of Stella on the trees too, for a sparkly wintery look!
Be sure to come back tomorrow for our next Paper Players challenge! You'll love it!
We support Christian Service Brigade, which is an organization of men who mentor boys in positive ways, influencing them for Christ. Our youth pastor from several years ago is a director and he sent us a Christmas card along with a little calendar for 2017. Cassidy knows the months of the year, and is learning to understand how the days work; how many days until Christmas, etc. I let her open the envelope and she was so excited when she saw this calendar....she said "Grammy! It's my first calendar! I'm going to hang it up in my room!" Too cute! (Wet hair from swimming lessons!)
Enjoy your day and be blessed!
Your projects are always inspiring and I really love the sparkle this time of year.
