Happy Monday, peeps! We had a nice weekend....attended John's work Christmas party, went to an open house, participated in a little craft class with some neighbors, got our tree...it's not UP yet, but we got it! Today, hopefully, we'll get it up and decorated! I am still making Christmas cards and I was in a Scottish mood, so I snagged the Paper Craft Crew sketch for this week and went to work:
These papers from Carta Bella's Christmas Delivery are some of my favorites for this year! They matched my little Scottie (I think the name of the company is Lost Picture Stamps....they used to be on etsy) so sweetly:
The green banner is from KaiserCraft's Home for Christmas pad; the stitched mat (Lil'Inker) is cut from Old Olive. I made a tag from an old Cuttlebug die and stamped the sentiment (Our Daily Bread Designs Mini Tag Sentiments) on it in Riding Hood Red ink, then added a candy dot and some twine:
It will be in the mail ASAP! Thanks for popping in today!
Here are the crafts we made on Saturday....the first was my introduction to felting; we made a little felted snowman with washers, wool roving and some other craft supplies:
Every time I look at him I laugh, because his orange "carrot" nose looks more like a beak than a nose! I'll do better next time!
We also made a quick little folded star ornament. My neighbor used this tutorial to show us how to make them:
I still need to add a gold cord to the top for hanging, but I wanted to share it, it was so pretty! Easy, too! I plan to make some more of these!
Enjoy your day!
I adore that Scottie! Cute catd! Perfect papers!
ReplyDeleteI love your card, LeAnne! The plaid paper and that sweet Scottie dog just steals the show! Love all the wonderful embellishments, tags & sayings, too! Looks like you had a busy weekend, girl! Love the felted snowman!!! The lady that has the craft show I participate in every year lives on a llama farm. She does the needle felting and makes ALL kinds of neat things with the llama fibers. She taught me how to several years ago. I thought it was fun! I bought several of her felted things over the years mostly decorations for my tree. All your goodies from your crafting weekend are gorgeous! TFS and have a great day! :)
ReplyDeleteDarling little Scottie, and your ornaments are sweet, too, LeAnne! Would love to learn to work with wool ... and honestly think your snowman's nose is perfect! Cute piggies, Cassidy!!!

That's such a cute card with that frisky little Scottie! Love the plaid panel too. Your felted snowman is a cutie and I love the star too, but that giant smile and look of sheer joy on Cassidy's face just melts my heart :)
ReplyDeleteCute card, cute Cassidy, and I think your ornaments are great. I've made the stars like that where the sides pop out some but I like this flat one. The 3d ones tend to get squished when trying to store them. Love your snowman too!
ReplyDeleteThat little scotty dog jumping through the wreath is adorable!! Wonderful card LeAnne. Love your star ornament and Cassidy's piggies!!
ReplyDeleteOMGosh- I just LOVE that little scottie dog! Such a cute card, LeAnne; the plaid is perfect with the scottie, and the red in the plaid draws in the red from the upper DSP. Thanks so much for adding your card to our Paper Craft Crew challenge this week :) ~Deborah
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun and festive card!! The plaid goes so well with your image!! :)
ReplyDeleteLeAnne, Such a fun, festive card and I love the scottie dog. The plaid is awesome. Thanks for playing along with the Paper Craft Crew.
