FMS266 Birthday Roadster

Hi everyone!  A quick post today, lots of busyness going on!  Amy has a wonderful sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, so I had to play!

My "little" brother has a birthday tomorrow, so I pulled out Guy Greetings....I really don't have many masculine stamps....and stamped the car in Basic Gray on some Naturals White cardstock.

I had gotten some unique papers from Authentique (Grateful) a couple months ago and hadn't delved into them too much, but I liked these plaid and polka dotted patterns!!!  They're an interesting color...I am wondering if my brother will find them too feminine....I'll let you know what he thinks, LOL!  After cutting out the car with a Circle  Stitched Framelit, I mounted it on the plaid and used a banner from Time of the Year, and stamped "happy" (Endless Birthday Wishes) three times on a Square Stitched Framelit and mounted it behind the banner.  For embellishments, I added some silver thread and some Basic Gray candy dots!

It all came together easily!  Hope he likes it!

I saw this pin on Pinterest and since our yard is inundated with twigs, we made a quick little reindeer!

We used a glimmer paper nose instead of a button;

and Cassidy (she says that's her funky look) insisted on orange and black baker's twine as a hanger, LOL!  She is giving this to daddy to put on his tree!

 Enjoy your day!

  2. Love the polka dots and plaid together and I think it's a great masculine card. I know your bro will love it and that you made it especially for him. My brother always appreciates his crafted cards. Miss Cassidy's twiggy reindeer is super cute too.
