Happy Tuesday, peeps! I had a relaxing day yesterday, rested up and got a wee bit of stamping in! I made another Christmas card using the Match the Sketch sketch and the "Plaid" prompt from Merry Monday:
Carta Bella's Christmas Delivery 6x6 pad has great plaids, so I pulled out three coordinating ones and went to work with the little snowman from Snow Place:
I embossed the card front with a Darice snowflake EF and added a sentiment from Oh What Fun. Isn't he a cutie?
I promised some pictures from our church's Operation Christmas Child Shoebox event; here, Cassidy is helping package up some toothpaste and toothbrushes:
And now she's ready to fill one of the shoeboxes; we have a Dansko outlet near our home and they very generously donated 36 empty shoeboxes!!
All done and almost ready to go!
Daddy very patiently helped her write a little note to tuck inside so the recipient knows from where and whom it came! All together, we filled 75 boxes!
Thanks for popping in today! Have a blessed one!
Love these red and black plaids, AND whoa, 70 shoeboxes? How generous! Bless you all.
ReplyDeleteDarling little snow man. Wow, love those plaids. Awesome charity and to fill 75 boxes, wow. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful helper you have! It was so kind of her to write notes, making it more personal. When my kids were Cassidy's age, we used to give gently used toys away. It was a good way to teach them how blessed they were and that they could give to others. They still do things like that as adults and have taught their children the same. Cassidy will remember this and hopefully pass it on to her children some day.
ReplyDeleteThese plaids are awesome. I had never heard of that company. Did you find it online? I wonder how many shoeboxes our church will end up doing...such a great cause.
ReplyDeleteDarling card ... LOve plaid!!! and how sweet is this little girl? VERY!
ReplyDelete=]
How cool that you filled 70 boxes! Cassidy should be so proud of herself! That's a huge accomplishment! And I am loving your card today, LeAnne! That little snowman is the sweetest along side the mix of plaid papers! I am such a SUCKER for anything PLAID! Great card & GREAT job, Cassidy!!! TFS and enjoy the warm weather! :)
ReplyDeleteHello LeAnne,
ReplyDeleteyour card is so beautiful.
I love it :-)
Thank you for take part at our challenge.
Sabine
LeAnne this card is ADORABLE!!! I LOVE plaid! I love the how the combo of plaids looks together. Very very cute!
ReplyDeleteYour little elf helper looks like she is having a blast too! My group of gals do an Adopt a Family each year. It's secret and we always ask for a large family since our group is so large. We usually get a family with 5-8 kids ... we go shopping then pick another weekend to wrap. We drop off at the Charity to distribute to the families. Such a good feeling! I also teach my grandkids about giving.... 8-)
Hugs
