Mojo Monday 468 & Retro Rubber 48

Well, I seem to be in full-on pumpkin/jack-o-lantern mode here, it's all I've stamped over the last few days!  Today's card uses the Mojo Monday sketch for this week:

and another jack-o-lantern stamp given to me by my sweet friend Debbie!  It's by Rubber Cottage, and he has a bit of a vintage feel, I think:

He's stamped on Very Vanilla cardstock with Stazon ink and I colored him loosely with ink and an aquapainter....I think he looks a bit streaky, might have to fix that, LOL!  I am on a kick with background stamps; this time I used the retired Weathered stamp, in Sahara Sand:

And the challenge this week from the designers at RetroRubber is to "Tie it Up":  to use twine or ribbon....so here is my burlap ribbon, (SU) along with a tag stamped with a Papertrey sentiment from Autumn Abundance:

And the sentiment at the bottom is from My Creative Time's Mixed Holiday Sentiments:

All the patterned papers are from BoBunny's Farmer's Market collection...warm and rich colors!  And I am not quite sure that a jack-o-lantern and "autumn blessings" go together, but at the time, it seemed like a good idea...so that's my story and I'm stickin' to it!  And since the girls at Retrorubber like to know how "retro" my stamps are:  the jack-o-lantern is from 2013; the Papertrey stamp is from 2009; the Weathered stamp is from ??? 2010, and the My Creative Time stamp is from at least 3-4 years ago!!!  I don't really know their exact ages, but they've all been around for a while!  Thanks for popping in, too!

A little wedding smile:

Enjoy your day!

  2. This card is wonderful. I always forget about my background stamps too...along with embossing the card. Why do I have those supplies anyway? Cassidy is beautiful, as always.

  4. LeAnne this is gorgeous and wouldn't change a thing! LOVE the weathered background and the ruggedness of the whole thing. Fantastic! I think the pumpkin goes just fine with the Harvest Blessings because I'm imagining the PIE that was made from inside! Hugs

  5. Adorable picture of Cassidy! She's growing up so quickly! Love your pretty Autumn card today, LeAnne! Love the vintage feel to the card as well as the pumpkin and the sentiments! I love to pull out all those old stamps and still get some use from them and I love the look of the Weathered stamp used here! Keep on using those older stamps! :) TFS and hope you have a wonderful Fall day! It's going to be a nice one!! :)

  8. Leanne, you know how much we love you playing in our Retro Rubber challenges! This is yet another sweet harvest card! I personally think the Jack-0-Lantern is perfect for autumn... he is not a scary pumpkin for Halloween! Love all the stamped background details even to the coordinating little tag on the burlap bow. Thanks so much for sharing with Retro Rubber!!

  9. Thanks for reminding me that I still have my weathered background stamp! I love how this pumpkin looks with that background and great burlap ribbon. Miss Cassidy is just as sweet and pretty as can be :)

  10. Hi Leanne! Ditto what Katy said! I am in love this this pumpkin! Beautifully colored and paired with such perfection with that paper! Two things that you do that I really need to start doing - one is stamping on pattern paper. I don't know why I think that is off limits! You enhance the papers with your stamping! The other thing is your ribbon techniques - I am so boring and must take a lesson from you! Thanks for playing along with us at Retro Rubber!
