Hi everyone! Happy Sunday! It's time for another Paper Players challenge....and today, I am the hostess with some fall colors for you! It's been desperately hot here in PA, so I thought these colors might help us feel a wee bit cooler:
I also used the sketch from Create with Connie & Mary:
I chose to use my colors with a Crumb Cake card base...here we go:
The first thing I did was to emboss my card with the new Cable Knit Dynamic Textured EF; this baby is HEAVY. Even after reading the directions, I almost broke my Big Shot because I tried to use it with my Magnetic Plate.....do NOT try that! Luckily, common sense prevailed and I managed to do it correctly! The leaves were cut with the Leaflet framelits; I stamped each of them with an image from Timeless Textures, sponged the edges, then folded them in half and ran them through my crimper....remember that fun little tool? Then I added a little baker's twine and linen thread embellishment:
For the Pear Pizzazz panel, I did some stencilling with a retired stencil from the Build a Banner kit, then stamped some images from French Foliage (ret SU) and Timeless Textures on top to give it an aged look:
I added some torn Cajun Craze edges and a sentiment from Basket of Wishes...I just love this one, I've used it several times already!
Can't wait to see what you create with my colors...and check out what the DT has done:
Do you think this wee one is a little tired? I just don't know how she can sleep like that!
Enjoy your day!
These colors are great for cooling down our 90 degree daily weather in Florida! I think you have given me inspiration to enter these challenges. I learn so much from you...I don't even know what a crimper looks like and had never heard of one til today. Cassidy is very flexible :-) Have a great new week.
ReplyDeleteGreat fall card. Love it.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how they sleep like that either, but when they are tired I guess it doesn't matter. :)
Ooooh, I love all the layered stamping and stenciling on this one LeAnne! Those little crimped leaves with their twine bows are adorable! And, that is one exhausted little girl!
ReplyDeleteGreat colors! Love your card. My nephew slept that way, too. I also have a pic - he is now 21. My mom would occasionally sleep that way in her recliner. I couldn't sleep that way, either.
ReplyDeleteLeAnne, I just got that ef. Thanks for the warning. It is gorgeous on your beautiful fall card. The textures crimped leaves with the twine are perfect! This is a great challenge!
ReplyDeleteCassidy must be exhausted. That would cause a terrible crick in my neck! Have a great week, My Friend! XX
You've captured a crisp autumn day snuggled up in a warm sweater while walking through the fall leaves perfectly! Love the crimping, I can hear the dried fallen leaves crunching under my feet. Fabulous LeAnne!
ReplyDeleteLove the torn edges and all of the texture - especially the crimping on the leaves! What a beautiful fall card! Thank you for joining us at Create with Connie and Mary!
ReplyDeleteThe embossing and horizontal designs are great! I like your crinkle effect on the leaves from your crimper. Awesome! I used your as influence on mine!
ReplyDeleteLove all the texture on your card LeAnne! That embossing folder looks awesome...I have it on my list. It sure makes a great background for your fall card.So pretty! Fun color challenge:)
ReplyDeleteOh my! I wish I could sleep like that!
Oh my! Your card is completely AWESOME! I love the cozy cable sweater embossing and the stamped "texture" on the green panel. I'm so glad you shared with us at Create with Connie and Mary!
ReplyDeleteWarm, cozy and oh so beautiful for fall! Sitting on the deck in VA Beach, watching the waves and enjoying your card!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome card! Great way to combine both sketches. Love all the texture in your card - it looks so touchable! Thanks for joining us this week at Create with Connie and Mary!
ReplyDeleteLove these colors LeAnne, and what a great fall card! Love that cabled background, so deeply embossed. Just how can Cassidy sleep like that?! If that were me it would involve a trip to the chiropractor!
ReplyDeleteLooks great! The fall leaves look like they have been sun crisped and placed on your card. Love the green color in there because it brings out those colors of the grass that is still green in the fall. Thanks for playing the Create with Connie and Mary sketch challenge this week!
ReplyDeleteSo much wonderful texture on your card! What a perfect card for fall - GREAT colors! Thanks for playing along with the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge!
ReplyDeleteYou used the Crimper! Perfect! Super cute is how this card turned out. I didn't order this EF and now I may "need" to. It looks great as a background for fall cards.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great card LeAnne - so much texture with that embossing folder and those crimped leaves. Definitely put me in the mood for Fall! A great card for both challenges this week.
ReplyDeleteLove your fall leaves! That EF is a tricky one!
