Happy Sunday, peeps! It's time for another Paper Players challenge! Sandy is our "sweet" hostess with a "sweet" challenge:
My original plan was to do a Christmas card, but while I was cleaning up my craft room, I came across one last piece of corrugated Pumpkin Pie paper from a Paper Pumpkin set a couple of months back (say that three times fast, LOL!). It sparked an idea for a Halloween card using Lawn Fawn's cute little candy corn from their Trick or Treat set:
I had limited time, so I colored them in with markers....my poor markers have seen better days....punched them out, and mounted them on some black glimmer paper.
I had a new Impression Obsession trick or treat die, so I cut that out of some glimmer paper too....added a star and a new enamel dot from SU and glued it all together!
I added some sentiments from My Creative Time's Mixed Holiday Sentiments and some Lawn Fawn bats on the inside!
I hope you'll play with our sweet challenge this week too! Check out what the DT created:
Cassidy loves to help me, but she loves to help Grampy, too! He recently did some rewiring and he let Cassidy help:
She's pretty good with that screwdriver!
I hope you enjoy your week....I am taking a little bloggy vacation....see you on August 29th!
Huh ... I said it three times and STILL no pumpkin paper! OH MY goodness do I love that paper! and your darling card! LeAnne, have a great week off. I may have to try to make a card for this challenge - I have a PILE of new goodies to try! xx

I love that corrugated paper, LeAnne. It's the perfect place for those super sweet Candy Corn, and I mean that literally! It will soon by time to buy those again. Cassidy is going to be well-rounded and who knows maybe our next HGTV star!!
ReplyDeleteLove that correlated paper! Adorable Halloween card! The die cut sentiment is perfect!

ReplyDeleteLove the black glimmer and corrugated pumpkin card - perfect for your CAS sweet treat this week LeAnne - enjoy your vacation!
ReplyDeleteMy first thought when I saw your card LeAnne was to check to see if I have this stamp set too, and I do! I love the way it works with the corrugated paper, which reminds me of a matchtstick placemat. Enjoy your bloggy break!
ReplyDeleteLove that fun texture on your card!I thought the star was part of the sentiment die, then I read you added it. So cute!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your vacation!
I love that card using the corrugated paper. I have never used any of it. I think that this could look good also with many stamp sets. I might give this card a try. Thank you so much for sharing! I think that you and Grampy are the most patient people with Cassidy. She gets to learn a lot of different things with you both.
ReplyDeleteLeAnne, I hope you are having a wonderful vacation!
ReplyDeleteI love Halloween, candy corn and this FUN card! The corrugated paper is fabulous! It adds so much texture! Just perfect! XX
I too love that corrugated card front. I remember using my old blue roller thing that made corrugated papers all the time. Not so much now. I think it's time for a revival! Super sweet halloween card. Hope your vacay is fun and relaxing!
ReplyDeleteTeach a girl to use a screwdriver and the world is her oyster! :-) Love it. Love this card, too. The shiny trick or treat is perfect against the pumpkin colored background. Fabulous card, LeAnne
