Happy Wednesday, peeps! Monday happened to be a big birthday for DH! He’s not one for lots of froufrou on his cards, so he really liked the “manly” one I made for him:
I stamped the bear from Thankful Forest Friends in Soft Suede on some textured Very Vanilla cardstock, cut him out and popped him up on VV panel and stamped my sentiment from Endless Birthday Wishes in Garden Green (don’t look at the wonky way my “birthday” stamp curved!!! Yikes!):
SU’s Little Numbers provided the “60th”, and the burlap ribbon is SU as well. The DSP is some from my stash, Echo Park’s This & That, and it’s just about the last couple of pieces I have!!! I used the sketch from RetroSketches:
Cassidy insisted that Grampy wear a Happy Birthday headpiece:
and couldn’t wait to “help” him open his gifts and blow out the candles!!!
Terrific card for your hubby LeAnne! Love the plaid and that stinkin cute bear! Those two are so cute together, love the birthday headpiece!! Piano lessons, good of him!! Chopsticks here he comes :)
ReplyDeleteLove the card and the headwear; I started playing piano for the first time in my 30's - you're never too old, wishing Grampy the best of luck!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, Grampy! What a fun way to celebrate with a fantastic card and a fancy crown!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, Grampy! I love that he's taking piano lessons. Makes my heart smile! What a great card, LeAnne. It is so masculine from the colors to the textures - I know it must have been a wonderful day.
