Happy Tuesday, peeps! I have been really struggling with creativity and energy these last few weeks…..and the heat and humidity lately have not helped at all. Poor John….I have been a bit crabby lately! I tried to cool off by making a quick Christmas card, but even that didn’t help much:
I used the red and white theme from Merry Monday:
as well as the sketch from CAS(e) This Sketch:
and the JUGS challenge to use stacked diecuts:
Nothing was working for me, but I persevered long enough to finish my Christmas card; I used snowflake diecuts from Taylored Expressions and the word “merry” is from Paper Trey. I added a couple of sentiments from Endless Wishes and Endless Birthday Wishes along with some rhinestones to finish it off! Hopefully my mojo will return some time this week!
Cassidy finally convinced her mommy to let her cut her hair a little bit…morning brush-outs were becoming brutal! She looks more grown up and the brushing is MUCH better!
Enjoy your day and stay cool!
Love your card! If you don't have AC ... Get a plastic kids pool and play/sit in itπ
ReplyDeleteLOL....I do have A/C but the pool is definitely going up this week....and our water is SO cold, I am sure it will cool me off! Thanks!!!
DeleteAnd Her hair will be so much healthier. I always think the more you cut the thicker it gets. Mine is like that. Such a sweet picture. It just seems like yesterday that she was a tiny baby. What a sweetheart.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card I love the way the red really pops. Those are great snowflakes. I may have to steal this one for next months challenge at Your Paper Pantry if it is OK with you.
Have a great day!
Thanks, Linda, and you know you can always CASE anything of mine! ♥ Hope all is well with your family!
DeleteVery pretty card.
ReplyDeleteCassidy does look more grown up and so cute.

Don't come to GA now. It is 100 today! I played tennis! I need my head examined! LOL! XXX
OH my goodness.....I hope you played at 5am when it was cool!!!
DeleteI get cranky too when it's ridiculously hot LOL!! Our poor hubbys. I LOVE LOVE this card LeAnne, a new fave from you!! Cassidy looks so sweet. Isn't it funny what a few inches will do. She was a cutie patootie before, but her smile say's I like this mommy!!
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the pictures from the zoo trip, I thought her hair looked shorter:) I do love your 'chilly' Christmas card. The red and white are gorgeous. Fun addition of the bling on the snowflakes:)

ReplyDeleteLeAnne - this is fantastic! I love the crispness of your card with the red and white. I also love the white text on the white base. Something I will have to try someday! Now that I am attempting to craft again, I will try it soon! :) BTW, are those snowflakes from the long ago SU! embellishment kit that had a variety of different snowflakes in different colors? If so, I think I still have some in my stash!

ReplyDeleteYour card just jumped out at me in the MM gallery. So pretty.
ReplyDeleteOkay...and the winner is...YOU! In my book, this is the perfect representation of the theme. Your Cassidy is a little doll. Like her new "do" a lot.
